Great budget for A@W Milan 2023

2 January 2024

The 2024 appointments are already available

Two intense days, an exceptional location and 3,652 visitors. This, in numbers, is the balance of the latest edition of ARCHITECT@WORK Milano which, on 8 and 9 November, filled the spaces of the Allianz MiCo with architects, professionals and companies in the construction, architecture and interior design sectors.

The increase in audience compared to the 2022 edition (+7%) tells of an increasing interest, on the part of those involved, for the opportunities for meeting and sharing live, which flank, in this 2023 full of news and stimulating prospects for the future, the network of research, experimentation and discussion always active on the event’s digital platform. And it was precisely the future, enriched by a particular meaning, that was the theme around which the broad debate of the numerous scheduled talks took place and which, moreover, took the form of the wide and innovative proposal of the Next Beauty exhibition. Evolution and sensorially of matter curated by Baolab.

Fab Futures. Emerging languages for future generations can be translated, for example, into the frugal innovation proposed by Eleonora Fontana of the Green Building Council in the context of the seminar Ensuring a more beautiful, equitable and sustainable future: an invitation to seek in the small size and simplicity of the atavistic gestures of building the cue to innovate and transform with a view to respect and sustainability.

Among the many proposals of the participating companies, appreciated by the public for their high technical qualities and enhanced by the exhibition layout that makes ARCHITECT@WORK recognizable from edition to edition, on an international scale, a new concept of sustainability stands out, no longer strictly linked to the theme of recycling and reuse. In fact, there is an interest in experimenting with new low-impact materials that, in part, actualize an ancient and profoundly concrete awareness of making architecture in a sustainable way.

For next year, there are two editions of ARCHITECT@WORK Italia, to be noted immediately in the agenda:

  • A@W Rome, 12 and 13 June 2024, Fiera Roma
  • A@W Milan, 13 and 14 November 2024, Allianz MiCo
