On 10 and 11 September, pavilion 8 of the Fiera Milano Rho hosted the eleventh edition of ARCHITECT@WORK, an unmissable event for every architect, interior designer and design professional. The temporary transfer from the Allianz MiCo to the new headquarters has not changed the event’s winning formula, which once again has brought together new products, cultural and educational content, networking and experimentation opportunities, and even moments of relaxation.
The theme of the 2025 edition – Metamorphosis. Evolving places – highlighted the need for architecture and urban places able to transform together with the people populating them. The design dialogue that unfolded during the talks and in the moments of discussion between the participants in the event connected homes and inhabitants. Architecture designs environments, more than spaces: it hosts interactions, favours perceptions, tells meanings. It is therefore not static, but participates in a process of reciprocal adaptation between place and person, where resilience – a term that is very frequently recurred today – means not passive resistance, but the active ability to transform and contribute to the relationship with the context.
The heart of the event was the exhibition itinerary, visited by more than 3,300 professionals during the two days of the event. Over 150 exhibitors presented materials and technologies, carefully selected by the ARCHITECT@WORK technical committee, to professionals and introducing elements of innovation and suggesting new research paths to be integrated into projects and opportunities for study and in-depth study.
With over 300 innovations in its 2025 portfolio, ARCHITECT@WORK Milan has reaffirmed its centrality in the Italian and European panorama of events in the architecture sector. The event confirms its nature as a laboratory of ideas and contaminations, capable of inspiring those who work and design.
ARCHITECT@WORK will return to Milan on 11 and 12 November 2026 at the Allianz MiCo
