The fifteenth edition of the event dedicated to the DIY distribution chain will be held on 28 and 29 September 2023 in pavilion 3 of Fieramilanocity (the same as in recent years): the exhibition spaces are already sold out 4 months after the opening
Bricoday Expo&Forum (28-29 September 2023, Fieramilanocity), now in its fifteenth edition, is the most significant B2B event for DIY, home decoration, outdoor and technical. Its success formula is bringing together several companies in a compact and easy-to-visit environment and favouring a strongly “commercial” climate of rapid and profitable encounters between production and distribution.
After the success of the last editions, the event continues its growth path by expanding into part of Pavilion 4 of Fieramilanocity, connected to Pavilion 3, the location that has hosted the main Italian DIY event for two years. The total area will thus increase to 22,000 m2, a +20% compared to 2022; about exhibitors, the great demand for larger stands and the limited dimensions of the main pavilion did not allow us to accommodate the requests of many new companies, limiting the total number which will be slightly higher than last year: 370 against the 350 in 2022: 4 months after the opening of the event, over 90% of the spaces have already been booked.
Bricoday Digital Village
The big news this year is Bricoday Digital Village which will be hosted, together with the conference room, in the new area of Pavilion 4, accessible via escalators. Bricoday Digital Village will be an immersive area dedicated to the digital evolution of physical retail and e-commerce in the hardware and DIY sector, an innovative and concrete project developed in collaboration with OPMF, the Permanent Multichannel Hardware Observatory. The goal is to answer the questions that specialized distribution players are asking for the future and present the numerous players in the digital revolution and online commerce: the most established platforms and marketplaces, the most advanced management solutions, payments, product coding, logistics services, furniture, marketing, communication and much more, a very diversified area due to the number of functions involved.
An unprecedented project in the DIY trade fair scenery that aroused harmony and interest from its first edition. Leading players in integrated commerce such as the Leroy Merlin, ManoMano, eBay, and Bricobravo platforms, omnichannel distribution brands such as Würth, digital realities such as Zucchetti and Shopfully, fintech ecosystems such as Maybank, leaders in in-store communication such as Nicolis confirmed their participation or in automatic vertical warehouses such as Modula, to name a few. Bricoday Digital Village will therefore occupy a large exhibition area of 4,000 m2, totally integrated with the main event, with an “open” theatre dedicated to an intense non-stop program of workshops, company presentations and round tables that will involve exhibitors and visitors to encourage the spread of digitization in specialized retail and attract the most innovative and established professionals and technology companies.
The event will culminate with the conference dedicated to phygital retail, a channel characterized by dynamic indicators, organized by OPMF on 29 September 2023.
Bricoday Light
Confirmed the great success of Bricoday Luce, the space of the Bricoday lighting show at its third edition in 2023 is sold-out. The area is dedicated to everything that sheds light in the DIY world: wall lights, chandeliers, floor lamps, spotlights, LED strips, outdoor lighting, and light bulbs and has now become the sector’s reference point not only for the DIY world: thanks to a dedicated space and a wide-ranging promotion, Bricoday Luce also attracts buyers from furniture and home centres, big markets, non-specialized large-scale distribution and lighting retailers who are already appearing at Bricoday. In 2022, Bricoday Luce occupied an area of 2,000 square meters that continues to grow in 2023, with an attractive and different set-up that made Bricoday Luce ‘shine’ and a point of attraction for visitors to the event. Bricoday Luce’s goal is to highlight the lighting sector, one of the most dynamic sectors characterized more than others by technological and design factors and undoubtedly the most attractive.
The numbers for the 2022 edition
The 2022 edition of Bricoday was the most visited ever, with a growth in participants of 16% in 2021. There was a homogeneous increase in the various categories of visitors, especially regarding the group that matters most, distribution.
