IFEMA MADRID presents an ambitious platform that will bring together, from November 18 to 20, 2025, at the Madrid Recinto Ferial
This new event will combine the expertise of two of the sector’s most influential energy trade fairs. Under the theme “Transforming Energy, Building the Future,” IFEMA MADRID launches the International Week of Electrification and Decarbonization. This initiative aims to optimize the energy transition, foster synergies and partnerships, and highlight key technologies, from renewable energies to energy storage solutions.
The International Week of Electrification and Decarbonization will gather leading stakeholders, including manufacturers, distributors, installers, engineering firms, mobility companies, institutions, and training professionals, with the objective of boosting innovation and sustainable development across sectors such as renewable energy, power generation, energy efficiency, industrial applications, electrical installations, sustainable mobility, lighting, and charging infrastructure, among others. This new platform will serve as a major boost for companies in the sector, supporting their commercial goals both domestically and in international markets of strategic importance to the industry, such as the EU, North Africa, and LATAM. With an estimated participation of over 600 companies, it is poised to become the most relevant event for energy transition and efficiency in Southern Europe. In odd-numbered years, the International Week of Electrification and Decarbonisation (GENERA and MATELEC) will coincide with the Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (C&R) Trade Fair, creating a comprehensive industry showcase tailored to the sector’s evolving needs. This synergy will enable professionals and companies to discover innovative solutions in a single space, fostering sector growth and enhancing collaboration across different energy-related fields.
Through this initiative, IFEMA MADRID reaffirms its commitment to the future of energy, providing an ideal platform for showcasing new technologies, generating business opportunities, networking, and fostering debate on the future of electrification and decarbonization. A full program of conferences, round tables, and presentations will address the latest trends and challenges in the sector.
Thus, the GENERA and MATELEC — International Week of Electrification and Decarbonization — will take place from November 18 to 20, 2025, coinciding with the strong momentum both fairs are currently experiencing. Recent editions of these events drew more than 43,000 visitors to GENERA and over 24,000 to MATELEC, highlighting the key moment the energy, electrical, and electronic sectors are currently enjoying.
