TTG, SIA and SUN 2021 came to a close today at Rimini Expo Centre (Italy) registering 90% of the visits number recorded during the 2019 edition. Organized by Italian Exhibition Group, the three events, which group together the tourism supply chain, saw a definite upturn in the operators’ confidence curve: a key theme under which opened this year’s edition. A re-start that saw 700 buyers from over 40 foreign countries (most of them physically attending, or virtual matching for Countries that would have required long-haul flights), 62% from Europe and 38% from non-European countries.
Spread over 19 halls, 1,800 brands, over 200 events with more than 250 speakers in nine “Arenas” for 650 hours of discussion and information. For the 70th anniversary of SIA Hospitality Design, four exhibitions – Rooms, Outdoor, Wellness and Hotel in Motion – curated by architects specialised in hospitality and contract design, expressing innovation and evolution in Made in Italy hotels amid minimal luxury, sustainability and great attention to the physical and mental wellbeing of guests, with increasing attention to the balance between the hotels closed and open spaces.
SUN Beach&Outdoor Style, at its 39th edition, also featured a programme offering new ideas to outdoor enterprises, bathing establishments and campsites. The new glamping concepts communicate the demand for design, attention to detail and an open-air spirit for a highly potential market for both Italy and abroad, including some cold countries in northern Europe. Furthermore, this year close to the SIA Halls also the new Superfaces event, a b2b marketplace specifically dedicated to innovative materials for interiors, design and architecture.
IEG looks forward to meeting again both the Italian and international tourism industry at Rimini Expo Centre in 2022, 12-14 October.
