The 12th edition of SICAM in Pordenone from 12th to 15th October 2021 is already sold out

20 November 2020

The 12th edition of SICAM, International Exhibition of Components, Accessories and Semi-finished Products for the Furniture Industry, will be held in Pordenone from Tuesday 12th to Friday 15th October 2021. The ten halls of the Pordenone fair will be completely occupied by the exhibition and the list of companies that have confirmed their participation is available on the website. The usual formula will not change and SICAM 2021 will once again be easy and quick to visit: attention is always focused on efficient services that are adequate to expectations, such as putting all the professionals present at the fair in the best working conditions. “Time at the fair is precious” remains the guideline for the Organizers, so that exhibitors and visitors will be able to concentrate only on the development of their business.

Waiting for the way to a “new normality”, many fairs around the world had to review their 2020 edition: several have been canceled, others have been postponed and others have switched to the virtual formula, being held only on the web or to a hybrid one, combing physical and digital part. This has been the strategy adopted to maintain the position in the international calendars of trade fairs. SICAM’s choice to postpone the dates to next October, decision made in late spring well in advance regards the scheduled date, was based on the awareness that international components and accessories companies were experiencing a situation of uncertainty very difficult to manage (unfortunately still valid) and on the aim to ensure the vital interests of the companies.

Facing this difficult period, companies are now having both the desire and need to start again with great determination: some have already restarted production at a good pace, others are still affected by the difficulties of the period and export represents for all a question mark. It is precisely in such complex contexts also difficult to decipher, however, that appointments as SICAM acquire even greater importance: concentrated in a sober, functional and elegant environment according to a well-established and extremely effective exhibition model, SICAM 2021 promises to be an event of strong impulse for the entire supply chain, in many of the main international markets.

As an event that has always been characterized by attention to every detail, SICAM 2021 will also adapt with the same spirit to all requirements that will be in force next October in the health and safety field regarding all operators in the fair, from visitors and exhibitors to fitters to the employees of the various services. What is certain is that, even in very particular conditions, the fair will not see its original aim changed, which sees its core business in the development of new high-level professional relationships: unique for its effectiveness, this represents the added value for which companies and professionals from all over the world meet every year in Pordenone.

“We have decided to postpone the event until next October, and we want to keep it in its “physical” format, which is what companies are looking for because it allows them to develop and consolidate effective and valid business relationships. Personally” – says Carlo Giobbi, SICAM organizer – “I am convinced that focusing on digital is not the right way to do fairs for the components and accessories industry; even less in the future when a sort of “new normality” will be reached, which at the moment nobody knows how it will look like. For our sector, the true value of a fair is that of physically bringing people together, demand with offer: you have to be able to talk and discuss projects, products, ideas and strategies face to face. And in this way develop the business. In this sense” – continues Giobbi – “digital tools can be interesting and valid, but they are and will remain only complementary to a personal encounter: they can never replace its effectiveness”.
