idd cologne, the new premium trade fair for exclusive interior design, will open its doors for its inaugural edition from 26 to 29 October 2025
Sales are well under way, and even at this point in time, shortly before the end of the early-bird booking period, it is clear that the new trade fair format is attracting great interest. Many renowned brands have already confirmed their appearance at the debut event by placing binding registrations. As the premium platform for interior design solutions in the residential, hospitality and contract segments, idd cologne is the place to experience groundbreaking design trends and outstanding quality. Guided by its central theme, Shaping Homes & Hospitality, the trade fair will focus on exclusive interior design for both private residences and commercial spaces.
As one of the leading furniture hotspots in Europe, Cologne offers interior brands that are looking to position themselves strategically in the European market the ideal platform with idd cologne. Exhibitors that want to establish or nurture contacts to decision-makers from Germany, Austria and Switzerland will also find valuable points of access at the trade fair – as the high visitor numbers at events in Koelnmesse’s established furniture portfolio demonstrate. With these advantages, idd cologne is the perfect stage for companies seeking to open up new commercial potential and establish a long-term presence in the European market.
Maik Fischer, the director of idd cologne, is delighted with the excellent interim results: “The current level of registrations reflects the high interest in the new format and demonstrates the need for a central platform for the premium segment in Germany. We are confident that we will be able to secure further prestigious brands in the coming weeks.”
The organisers are particularly pleased with the steadily growing interest from key European markets for the furniture industry and from Germany’s neighbours. Following initial discussions with premium European manufacturers, the participation of a Norwegian exhibitor group has already been confirmed. The pavilion will be organized by Innovation Norway.
