The gates of the Allianz MiCo will open on 8 and 9 November ARCHITECT@WORK Milano, and, as usual, will bring together an enthusiastic audience of insiders around the best new products for architecture, construction and interior design. In addition to the hundreds of innovations on display, a series of inspiring and educational content on the theme “Fab Futures” is also planned. The event is aimed exclusively at architects and interior designers, with an original scenography that gives it an intimate and refined atmosphere and boasts a highly qualitative approach: a technical commission of professionals selects what is presented by the approximately 200 participating companies. The stands, all identical in size, follow one another in orderly rows, creating a real exhibition gallery where products, ideas and novelties are even more protagonists than the brands that distinguish them. The corridors go beyond their function of simple transit areas and become places for personal encounters and fruitful exchanges. The formula for free snacks and drinks available throughout the day is much appreciated by exhibitors and visitors.
Those who already know ARCHITECT@WORK look forward to immersing themselves again in the minimal, at the same time sophisticated environment of the two days dedicated to networking and professional updating. The original layout is still reconfirmed year after year. The relaxed mood makes the many designers who have followed the event feel “at home” since its debut in Italy in 2014. Always new, often never seen before, are the materials and products shown and described at the booths with a wealth of technical details, information on the production process and sustainability certifications. Not to mention the extra contents and special collaborations that accompany the event: the rich program of talks (all with professional training credits), the exhibition of materials, the photo galleries, the installations and the artistic performances all revolve around a theme each different each time, and which each time tries to answer the current questions that the world of design, and the World in general, push us to address.
With the title “Fab Futures – emerging languages for future generations“, the ninth Milanese edition of the international trade fair offers a reflection on the future and its ever-evolving paradigms: climate crisis, new digital powers, new cultural factors which, as a man and nature teach, transform over time. The theme intends to give the starting point for a prospective thought on the concept of beauty and well-being for the next generations.
Let’s see in detail all that ARCHITECT@WORK Milano 2023 has to offer:
Leading manufacturing companies in their sectors of activity, which present recent product innovations selected by a jury of experts, covering all the product categories involved in the architectural and interior design, from windows to sound-absorbing material, from ceramics to hinges, from roofing to lighting, from taps to parquet, from facade systems to home automation…
Three seminars a day, all with training credits; the interventions of the protagonists of the sector in an exciting program to listen to the voice of those who, in addition to theoretical knowledge, can share unique professional experiences with the public and give inspiration.
The skilled trend forecasting agency researching colours and design materials in the fields of living, automotive and technology will accompany the journey through evolution and sensoriality, the story of beauty and its relationship with time.
A unique work/performance as part of the WoodArc art project: the vertical installation in Kapla bricks is free of glue or adhesives, and its setting up will last for the entire duration of the event until the spectacular demolition at 4.30 pm on Thursday, 9 November.
