{"id":26000,"date":"2023-12-22T12:31:59","date_gmt":"2023-12-22T11:31:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.staffedit.it\/la-nuova-casa-di-serena-confalonieri\/"},"modified":"2024-02-01T11:09:36","modified_gmt":"2024-02-01T10:09:36","slug":"the-new-home-of-serena-confalonieri","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.staffedit.it\/en\/the-new-home-of-serena-confalonieri\/","title":{"rendered":"The new home of Serena Confalonieri"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In <strong>Lambrate<\/strong> district (Milan), one of the most interesting and dynamic in Milan, <strong>Serena Confalonieri<\/strong> opens the doors of her home: <strong>a two-story loft flooded with natural light<\/strong>, where she lives with her partner Marcello and Fausto, their Lakeland Terrier.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The designer\u2019s multifaceted soul lives in this kaleidoscopic space, characterized by a resolute and eclectic personality, just like her. <\/strong>Within the same environment coexist both objects produced by design companies &#8211; Alpi, Ceramica Cielo, Gebr\u00fcder Thonet Vienna, l&#8217;Opificio, MyHomeCollection, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.staffedit.it\/en\/tag\/mm-lampadari-en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>MM Lampadari<\/strong><\/a>, Mohebban, Perennials, Saba, Sambonet, Very Simple Kitchen, Wall&amp;Dec\u00f2 and Wilson&amp;Morris \u2013 and self-productions , combined with others the designer is connected to by a strong emotional bond. The house becomes a mirror of Serena Confalonieri\u2019s ironic personality, but also a warm and welcoming nest where she both preserves and creates memories.<\/p>\n<p>Right from the entrance, the movement of the volumes &#8211; full and empty &#8211; and of the lines &#8211; straight and curved &#8211; is immediately striking: verticality and depth take on new meanings, in a stylistic balance that designs a contemporary and fluid way of life. <strong>The different areas of the house are defined by the combination of materials<\/strong> &#8211; concrete, imperturbable and modern, and wood, warm and bright &#8211; <strong>and by the walls that Serena Confalonieri transforms into blocks of color thanks to Wilson&amp;Morris mural paints<\/strong>. The main area is the large open space that hosts the living space.<\/p>\n<p>The living room, imagined by the designer as a place to relax and draw inspiration, opposite the sofa, the large custom wall unit, entirely covered by <strong>Alpi<\/strong> surfaces from its <strong>Quadra<\/strong> collection in an oak finish, creates a continuous line that rises from the parquet floor up to the wall. The colorful art wall frames this large piece of furniture, where her self-productions such as <strong>Calypso<\/strong> glasses, <strong>Nebula <\/strong>bongs<strong>,<\/strong> and <strong>Masai <\/strong>vases stand. Behind the sofa, the living area is connected directly to the kitchen; here we find <strong>Zdora<\/strong> collection\u2019s \u00a0kitchen and dining table, designed by Serena Confalonieri in collaboration with <strong>La Pietra Compattata<\/strong> and <strong>Very Simple Kitchen<\/strong> and the <strong>Baba<\/strong> armchairs designed by Serena Confalonieri for <strong>MyHomeCollection<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>As for the lighting, the designer chooses her <strong>Mata<\/strong> collection designed for <strong>MM Lampadari<\/strong> for the kitchen, her <strong>Tropicana<\/strong> hanging light designed for <strong>Houtique<\/strong> for the dining room, and her <strong>Lotus<\/strong> lamp designed for <strong>Mason Editions<\/strong> for the living room. The bedroom, on the mezzanine, hosts the lamps from her <strong>Layla collection<\/strong>, also by <strong>MM Lampadari<\/strong>: the two night-lights are placed on either side of the handcrafted bed, above two bedside tables.
