According to ASSIL, what is the strategic role of Smart Lighting within the dual transition, energy and digital?<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Smart Lighting is an <strong>essential element<\/strong> for the &#8220;twin transition&#8221; of the building stock in Italy and Europe. It&#8217;s not just an accessory; it&#8217;s a component that, when integrated with intelligent systems, directly contributes to <strong>home and building automation<\/strong> and, consequently, to <strong>energy savings<\/strong> in buildings and urban areas.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Are there any data that quantify the importance of this sector at an institutional level?<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Certainly. This demonstrates the growing institutional commitment and recognises that our entire sector is more dynamic than the average electrical engineering sector.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Quantifiable Savings: The Benefits for Businesses and Citizens<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><em>Speaking of efficiency: how quantifiable is the economic benefit that Smart Lighting solutions offer to businesses and citizens, especially in the current context of high energy costs?<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The benefits are <strong>rapid and significant<\/strong>. A recent study commissioned by the <strong>Politecnico di Milano<\/strong> on the &#8220;Analysis of the market potential of smart lighting solutions in Italy&#8221; demonstrates this with concrete data.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Hospital Sector:<\/strong> The introduction of advanced management systems can guarantee energy savings of <strong>83%,<\/strong> with an estimated return on investment (ROI) time of just <strong>2-3 years<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Public Lighting<\/strong>: The investment leads to energy savings of <strong>67%<\/strong> and a reduction in CO2 emissions of more than <strong>980 tons<\/strong>.
