Verdi’s Nabucco, an intense choral fresco, comes back to life in a completely new production signed by the visionary Stefano Poda. The Opera on stage was a timeless journey from conflict to reconciliation, from pride to hope, between humanism and technology.<\/p>\n

In its richness and multimedia, the staging represented a great technical challenge to the Arena workers and the many workshops involved, with extraordinary solutions for costumes and scenic effects. Symbolic elements and innovative lighting designs <\/strong>have been combined on stage, in the service of Verdi’s drama that tells of a conflict not only between peoples but within each individual, between pride, conscience and hope. An idea of permanent conflict expressed at every moment of the staging, through multiple visions of war, from threatening post-modern sabre-rattling to an atomic missile.<\/p>\n

The show is imbued with special effects, LED and laser lights, which allow for defining action spaces, with the scene dominated by metal structures with a high symbolic value, such as the costumes, designed by the director himself, which become props. Stefano Poda<\/strong>: “Two polarities attract and repel each other throughout the stage action, up to a point of maximum repulsion and splitting, and then arrive at the synthesis of the Finale in which the two opposites are reconciled. The metaphor is that of the bonds between atomic particles: matter originates from their union, but Man has discovered how to separate them, causing destruction. Technological progress makes everything possible – and Nabucco does not hesitate to use his material superiority against the defeated, to the point of dramatic consequences: the lesson of this masterpiece is that rationality, to be well directed, cannot be separated from spirituality<\/em>“.<\/p>\n

HIKARI’s approach to the service of the Opera: a lot of technology and craftsmanship to dress the clothes on stage with LED lights<\/strong><\/h2>\n

HIKARI<\/strong><\/a>\u2019s main distinguishing feature has always been not limiting itself to simple market products, but to anticipating new trends and always offering integrated and innovative solutions. The company has thus gained more than ten years of experience in the field of electronics and digital by combining vision skills and a passion for exploring ever-new application fields. The result was to develop a range of solutions and a service that went beyond a traditional conception of lighting design.<\/p>\n

In this context, the luminous costumes that animate the scene of Nabucco were born from the vision of the Maestro Stefano Poda with the Arena Foundation. The light is no longer external but becomes the soul of the fabric to flow along the stage costumes, enhancing their expressiveness. The flexible LEDs, invisible to the gesture, transform each dress into a living, vibrant and poetic story. The work was completed thanks to an intense dialogue with the workforce led by the artistic director, to identify the best solutions each time, in complete synergy with all parties involved.
