It offers well-being to people and protects nature, reducing light pollution. The aesthetic research that guided Dasos&#8217; development had as its objective the transformation of urban voids into welcoming and comfortable spaces like domestic ones. Dasos does not hide. It stands out and marks the landscape with new forms that reinforce the illuminated place&#8217;s identity. The finishes\u2019 textures and colours help to furnish the city&#8217;s area with character.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The obovate lamps<\/strong>, fixed along tall inclined stems, evoke botanical structures and inspire reflections on the need to dedicate more urban space to nature. The name Dasos (\u03b4\u03ac\u03c3\u03bf\u03c2), which means &#8220;wood, forest&#8221; in Greek, emphasises the link with the plant world and the environmental vocation of the new lamps.<\/p>\n<p>Dasos products integrate <strong>ECO-CENTRIC LIGHTING (ECL)<\/strong> solutions that combine <a href=\"https:\/\/www.staffedit.it\/en\/tag\/human-centric-lighting-e-sanitizing-lighting\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">human needs for safety and well-being<\/a> with the flora and fauna biological rhythms. Night-time lighting poses a threat to biodiversity, and the blue component of light (\u03bb&lt;500 nm) is the most nuisance for most animals and plants. Dasos is available in the ECL \/ BLUE FREE LIGHT versions that minimise blue radiation [\u2211R (\u03bb&lt;500 nm) = 0.7% (PC-AMBER)] and in the ECL \/ DYNAMIC WHITE LIGHT versions that adaptively modulate the blue component of light in relation to human presence. The white light spectral distribution can be adjusted from a very warm light (CCT=1800K) to a cooler light (CCT= 4000K). In addition to the light colour modulation, there is the possibility of adjusting the intensity of the flux emitted at different colour temperatures. DYNAMIC WHITE LIGHT technology is an extremely flexible solution not only to mitigate the effects of artificial lighting at night on the environment, but also to change the space perception.<\/p>\n<p>Dasos can also integrate the new ECL \/ BLOS (Biophilic LED Optical System) optical systems that offer maximum visual comfort to people and environmentally friendly light distribution. BLOS has been specifically designed for the visual well-being of pedestrians and cyclists, generally neglected by public lighting, which has always been designed and regulated for motorist users. The innovative optical system can avoid the debilitating or disturbing glare of those who move slowly, and reduces light pollution by preventing the dispersion of the flow in any direction where light is not strictly necessary to passers-by. Through a sophisticated source shielding system, the high corners are obscured, avoiding unwanted emissions. Dasos ECL \/ BLOS offers pollinator-friendly lighting because, by focusing the light on the horizontal area to be illuminated, it preserves the darkness of the environment and avoids flying animals&#8217; disorientation issues.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dasos Line\u2019s variety of optical solutions and dimming systems allows for configuring the lamps to obtain the right light in every place and every night. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Designed in compliance with the principles of Eco-Design, Dasos is extremely robust, easily repairable and prepared for materials recycling. Every maintenance operation is simplified by a clip that allows tool-free access to the power compartment. Reversible joining systems make components separable for parts replacement or separate disposal.
