{"id":40969,"date":"2026-09-14T10:49:06","date_gmt":"2026-09-14T08:49:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.staffedit.it\/?p=40969"},"modified":"2026-09-14T10:49:06","modified_gmt":"2026-09-14T08:49:06","slug":"xi-edition-venetian-smart-lighting-award","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.staffedit.it\/en\/xi-edition-venetian-smart-lighting-award\/","title":{"rendered":"XI EDITION VENETIAN SMART LIGHTING AWARD"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: 14pt;\"><strong>The XI edition celebrates the Italian excellence of lighting, connecting design, innovation, internationalisation and social responsibility<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday 16 July, in the setting of Villa Ca&#x27; Marcello, Piombino Dese (Padua), the eleventh edition of the Venetian Smart Lighting Award, the award promoted by Rete di Imprese <a href=\"https:\/\/www.staffedit.it\/en\/tag\/luce-in-veneto-en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Luce in Veneto<\/strong><\/a> to recognise and enhance the excellence of Italian lighting, came to an end. A participatory evening that intertwined companies, designers, institutions, universities, associations, sponsors and the media around a shared vision: to make the culture of light an engine of innovation, competitiveness and development for the territory. From this year, with the introduction of the category &#8220;Best indoor lamp \u2013 The excellence of Made in Italy design&#8221;, the competition has also been opened to Italian lighting companies even if they do not belong to the Network or are not based in Veneto, strengthening its positioning as a national platform for comparison and promotion.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>AN EVENING DEDICATED TO THE LIGHTING COMMUNITY<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The event kicked off in the gardens of the Villa with a networking aperitif, a convivial moment to create new connections between companies, designers, professionals, institutions, sponsors and partners. The gala dinner and the subsequent award ceremony then transformed the evening into a moment of collective celebration, enhancing not only the winning products, but the entire ecosystem of skills, collaborations and projects that have accompanied the growth of the VSLA over the years.<\/p>\n<p>The 2026 edition was supported by national and international sponsors Skeinholding, Nichia, Relux, DALI Alliance, Restart Engineering, VDE Institute and H03, to whom we extend our heartfelt thanks. The initiative has received the patronage of the Veneto Region and the Casa del Made in Italy of Padua, with the support of AIPI, AIDI, ADI, ASSIL, IALD, Department of Civil, Building and Environmental Engineering of the University of Padua, the Department of Civil, Building and Environmental Engineering of the University of Padua, Scuola Italiana Design &#8211; SID, Galileo Visionary District, UniSmart, Iuav University of Venice and the Consorzio Promovetro Murano.<\/p>\n<p>The award was also accompanied by the media partners LUCE, ABOUT, Staff Editoriale, Compolux, Italian Lighting, CasaOggiDomani, IQD and Rebula, as well as the partners Materially and Venice Design Week.<\/p>\n<p>The finalist lamps were evaluated by two complementary juries, called upon to observe both the design quality and the ability of the companies to communicate their value.<\/p>\n<p>The Technical Jury, composed of Susanna Antico, Alberto Bassi, Lisa Marchesi, Carolina De Camillis and Andrea Busato, analysed the proposals according to criteria of aesthetics, design, functionality and innovation. The Jury of the &#8220;Silvano Oldani&#8221; Press Award, represented by Chiara Bellocchio, Mariella Di Rao, Roberta Battocchio and Federico Galluzzi, examined the communication strategy effectiveness, story coherence and ability to generate visibility and involvement.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>The XI edition\u2019s winners<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>BEST DECORATIVE LAMP FOR <strong>CONTRACT USE<\/strong>: DEA By Il Fanale<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Dea transforms hand-burnished iron into a chromatic landscape that retains its expressive power even when turned off. The purity of the sign, the balance of proportions and the unrepeatable nuances generated by burnishing give life to a discreet but authoritative object, capable of interpreting the world of Contract through a material, warm and silent beauty.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>BEST DESIGN LAMP THAT<\/strong> <strong>ACTIVATES INNOVATION<\/strong>: ANISETTE SP by Vetreria Vistosi<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Anisette reinterprets the tradition of blown glass with a poetic and contemporary language. The overlapping of opal glass produces effects of fluidity and depth, while the innovation introduced in the processing techniques and in the system of hooking the components makes the project elegant, versatile and able to adapt to different contexts.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>BEST LAMP FOR SPECIAL USE: GRUIS by Sidera<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Gruis crosses the boundary between solar shading and lighting: during the day it protects, at night it lights up thanks to the patented ILE system\u00ae. The result of two years of research on glass, the product integrates the light modules into the structure of the awning, transforming a technical element into a clean, diffusing and visually dematerialised architectural sign.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>BEST GLASS LAMP, &#8220;POETRY OF LIGHT AND FIRE&#8221;: ADAL by Wave Murano Glass<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Adal was born from the encounter between the gesture of blown glass, organic inspiration and research on luminous phenomena. Special photoluminescent powders allow the glass to absorb the light energy and gradually return it over time: the material thus continues to emanate an autonomous glow, transforming the lamp into a sculptural presence with its own luminous life.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>BEST INDOOR LAMP, &#8220;THE EXCELLENCE OF DESIGN MADE IN ITALY&#8221;: BRILLINA by QU<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Brillina redefines the portable lamp through an essential, versatile and sophisticated project. The formal simplicity leaves room for a wide range of customisation options, while the attention to materials, construction details and quality of light translates the needs of hospitality into a flexible, everyday object that is fully expressive of <strong>Italian design<\/strong>.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;SILVANO OLDANI&#8221; PRESS AWARD: FLOWERS IN WONDERLAND by Multiforme<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The collection designed by Alessandra Baldereschi won over the Press Jury thanks to a communication capable of transforming the product into a poetic and immediately recognisable story. Photography, video, illustration and social content build a fairytale imagery in which the tradition of hand-blown Murano glass meets light floral shapes and technological solutions such as battery, dimmable LED and touch switch. The consistency between naming, tone of voice, user experience and control of digital channels returns a solid, engaging brand identity that is perfectly aligned with the product.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The partnership between Luce in Veneto and Venice Design Week continues for the second year. Thanks to this collaboration, Vetreria Vistosi, with the product Anisette SP, winner of the category &#8220;Best design lamp that activates innovation&#8221;, will participate free of charge in the Light Selection of the festival scheduled in Venice in October 2026. The collaboration strengthens the dialogue between design and innovation, offering companies new opportunities for visibility and connections at an international level.<\/p>\n<p>The 2026 edition was enriched by the celebration of ten years of activity dedicated to supporting companies in accessing the North American market through the prestigious UL Brand. A special recognition was given to Stefania Zanzonico, Senior Inside Sales Executive of UL, to Paolo Bassani, certifications field consultant and to Gabriele Bettocchi of Elettroplastica Srl, guaranteeing constant and qualified support to companies.<\/p>\n<p>This edition of VSLA stood out for a concrete gesture of social responsibility, donating part of the evening income to L&#x27;Incontro Cooperativa Sociale di Castelfranco Veneto, a reality engaged since 1991 in the construction of projects aimed at improving quality of life for people with disabilities. The donation renews a relationship that was also born in the field of research.<\/p>\n<p>VSLA 2026 solidarity\u2019s choice increases the value of the initiative, testifying to how technology and innovation can express their most authentic value when they become tangible tools to improve people&#x27;s quality of life and strengthen the community\u2019s well-being.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><strong>A CONSTANTLY EVOLVING AWARD<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>With its XI edition, the Venetian Smart Lighting Award confirms its role as a reference point for the lighting sector, not only as an award dedicated to design and production excellence, but also as a concrete opportunity for discussion between companies, professionals, institutions and the academic world. In over ten years, VSLA has contributed to building an increasingly large and qualified community, able to connect different skills, fostering new collaborations and promoting the value of Made in Italy in local and international markets.<\/p>\n<p>The Venetian Smart Lighting Award thus looks forward to the next editions with the aim of further strengthening its identity, enhancing companies,
