The new Arcadia 70 and satin Nickel finish for Funghetto and Fungotto celebrate the encounter between alabaster and architectural design, by Matlight Milano.
Matlight Milano, founded in 2014 and now a brand combining craftsmanship excellence with high-end decorative lighting design solutions, presented its new proposals at the Fuorisalone 2026. The leitmotif is the alabaster that interprets 3 new table lamps: ARCADIA 70, in the Solo and Duo versions, and the new variant of FUNGHETTO and FUNGOTTO, the brand’s Hero Products, now available in satin Nickel finish. The new lamps enhance the beauty of natural alabaster, worked in Italy by master craftsmen. When switched on, transparencies and veins delicately emerge, revealing irreplicable textures that make each piece unique.
At the end of March, the press preview entitled “The essence of light” presented the official debut of the new collections in the evocative setting of the SATININE Milano 1883 store, a historic artisan perfumery, which is now a contemporary fragrance workshop paying tribute to the Milan of the 30s. In that iconic space, among art deco references, soft lighting and material details in red marble, the lamps have found their suitable stage. Inside the flagship store, plays of light, material surfaces and olfactive suggestions have merged into a multisensory experience. Every detail has become an expression of identity and style. An outstanding preview hosting a select group of journalists from the design and lifestyle field, who were able to discover the new creations up close and witness the encounter between two Italian excellences united by a common vision on the themes of craftsmanship, innovation and continuous aesthetic research.
ARCADIA 70 stands out for its sculptural design, celebrating natural stone, design memory, and contemporary tactile technology. The name recalls the expressive force of the typical 70s bold design, reinterpreted by Matlight Milano through a material, sophisticated language. The lamp has a strong stage presence and nearly totemic dimensions composed of cylindrical and overlapping volumes. Its aesthetics make it a refined, luminous architectural element in perfect balance between volume and light. Available in 2 versions, SOLO (with an alabaster module) and DUO (with two overlapping modules), the table lamps with an intuitive and discreet touch lighting system are customisable in different metal finishes.
