Technology, creativity, and art merge into a single design system.
During Milano Design Week 2026, HYLEtech5 has strengthened its role as a technical partner in a constellation of projects that span throughout the entire city, contributing to the creation of installations, exhibitions, and curated spaces where light and technology become an integral part of the design language.
At the presence centre, the project HYLEtech Lab – Light in Matter. Architectural Variations, presented at Triennale Milano, marks a new, larger-scale phase in the group’s research: from product experimentation to the architectural dimension, introducing the concept of “active wall” as a new infrastructure of contemporary design. HYLEtech5 acts as a distributed infrastructure: a network of expertise and solutions that empowers projects, working across design, architecture, and experimentation.
Alongside Triennale Milano, HYLEtech5 returns to the 5Vie district, in Anotherview, the Altra Vista bar and trattoria at Spazio Cavallerizze, where the company is supplying Luce5 lighting fixtures, building on a collaboration initiated in previous editions. An intervention that seamlessly integrates into the exhibition, helping shape its atmosphere and perception.
At Galleria Rossana Orlandi, within RoCollectible 2026, HYLEtech has participated with an articulated presence that intertwined technological research and production. In there was presented Symbiosi, the technological door developed in collaboration with Stefano Boeri Interiors: a system that challenged the distinction between architectural element and technical infrastructure, combining lighting, energy, and sensory functions in a single device. Another example of research that focuses on the relationship between form, matter, and light control is given by the Efeso and Delos lamps by designer Roberto Sironi.
HYLEtech5’s contribution has also extended to the urban space with the project by Franco Cervietti Studio in Piazza Città di Lombardia, where the company was present as technical partner, supplying a lighting fixture integrated in the installation.
In parallel, the experimentation has also involved a new generation of designers. The designer Enea Colombo presented the Boolean lamp. Created in HYLEtech, the project, developed for the Pinetum exhibition, was selected by Pantera Studio and exhibited at 48H, the two-day collective exhibition dedicated to young independent designers, organised by those who prefer autonomous approaches and emerging languages.
Through these collaborations, HYLEtech5 goes beyond the role of technical supplier to become a design partner, capable of intervening in the actual processes, and not just on the outcomes. Milano Design Week thus becomes a privileged point for viewing the transformation currently underway: the progressive dissolution of the boundaries between technology and design, between component and system, between support and language. A passage that concerns not only technical innovation, but the very way architecture and design are today building their own existence conditions.
