A space that highlights the different lighting applications
The new iGuzzini experiencing space opens up new horizons for the culture of light and the inspiration of those who design spaces. A unique project that promotes the knowledge and technology of light through an immersive experience in a space investigating the different applications of LED lighting, from indoor to outdoor, from private spaces to communities.
The iGuzzini Headquarters in Recanati welcomes every year thousands of lighting designers, architects, interior designers, professionals, system integrators and sustainability managers. The new showroom is thus a representation of iGuzzini’s uniqueness that integrates design, connectivity and responsibility through its lighting solutions. The new iGuzzini Showroom and the Light Theatre result from the design project by architect Alfonso Femia and the lighting design by Artec Studio. A complete, immersive and true light experience that reproduces all the different lighting application contexts within an area of almost 1,200 square meters indoors, and 280 square meters outdoors. A total of about 1,200 different installed lighting products, telling iGuzzini's systems story and offering the visitors a possibility to physically perceive the light effects. Many of the proposed visual effects can be experienced along the way to enliven spaces, accompany paths, support circadian cycles, and provide the correct lighting by modulating the effects.
Dedicated to the reception and lounge area, the foyer is also the stage for showcase iGuzzini Echoes, the collection offering re-editions of the company's historical archive. Lamps designed by design masters and now updated in their sources with a view to energy efficiency. The Light Theatre is a 300-square-meter auditorium that accommodates up to 150 seats. It is designed for light and music shows accompanied by 9 light scenes – Invisible, Shape, Human, Graphic, Colour, Guiding, Spaciousness, Symmetric and Vertical – specially developed by iGuzzini, applied within the showroom, and reaching a total of about 900 visual effects scenarios.
In the next 700 square metres, the lighting systems are presented in six application areas that express iGuzzini's specific skills on project scales in different areas: Culture, Retail, Hospitality & Residential, Working, Urban, and Intelligent Light Solutions.
The exhibition itinerary allows the visitors to understand how iGuzzini has transformed the transversal themes of design, sustainability and visual comfort into highly innovative, technological and high-performance solutions thanks to the company's multidisciplinary skills, such as research and development of engineered and in-house produced optics.
The Outdoor Lab is structured as above for the interior spaces and includes all the systems created by iGuzzini to illuminate outdoor environments in urban areas. Infrastructures, parks, building facades, or private residences’ gardens. The luminaires adopt intelligent lighting solutions (smart products and controls), i.e. designed for calibrating the light according to need and context, allowing for optimised energy consumption and services such as push notification and indoor navigation.
