Lumileds closed 2024 with a significant performance increase 5% to 8% for five different series of high-power LEDs in the LUXEON family
Lumileds’ LUXEON family has historically consisted of LED chips, with and without domes, which boast some of the highest efficacy in the industry. This product series applies to outdoor, indoor, and industrial applications such as stadium lights, street lights, spotlights, high-bay lamps, rugged flashlights and handheld devices, where high lumen density, efficacy, robustness, and light quality are critical. Thanks to the performance upgrade, these LEDs offer an even higher lumen output while maintaining excellent efficacy, colour stability, and durability regardless of the application or environment.
The use of improved performance models is simple, as the shapes and primary features of each LED remain the same. Therefore, Lumileds remains committed to providing high-power LEDs that are leaders in performance, maximization of light emitted, effectiveness, and ease of adoption.
As anticipated, the light output values saw a performance increase of 5% – 8% for the following series of high-power LEDs in the LUXEON family. Specifically:
