Metalfilms’ production process involves several stages, which guarantees maximum precision and reliability in every phase. The process begins with cutting large sheets of glass which is carried out with an automatic cutting table to ensure maximum accuracy. Subsequently, the glass edges are ground according to the customer’s specific requirements. In addition to cutting and grinding, Metalfilms can drill holes and apply ceramic enamels by screen printing, offering customisation possibilities for various industrial and design applications. The most important stage is the tempering of the glass, in which the sheets are heated to around 600°C and cooled rapidly to improve mechanical resistance and safety in the event of breakage, in compliance with the standard UNI EN12150. The high degree of automation in the production process makes Metalfilms particularly competitive in large series production, typical of the lighting sector.
