In a complex season in which there is certainly no shortage of concerns, the world of furniture once again confirms its “wish for SICAM”
The 2025 edition of the International Exhibition of Components, Accessories and Semi-finished Products for the Furniture Industry will be again an unmissable event! That was confirmed well in advance by the hundreds of exhibitors who will animate the Pordenone Fiere district again this year from 14 to 17 October. An edition that has been “sold out” for months and will once again keep the “promises” that SICAM renews every year, that is, to be a tangible event with a strong focus on the product but where ideas, visions and trends are at home. The list of exhibitors, available from January on the event’s website (www.exposicam.it/en – exhibitors list 2025), confirms the desire of companies and industrial groups worldwide not to miss this great “furniture festival”.
An event that numbers tell a thousand words: the 2024 edition attracted 692 exhibitors (650 in 2023) from 34 countries to Pordenone, covering an area of over 41 thousand square meters, of which 19,135 net square meters of exhibition space (18,420 in 2023); 9,243 companies (8,916 in 2023) from 118 countries (113 in 2023) came to Pordenone to meet them. Just under 30 thousand people attended the fair during the four days of the event, including 23,542 visitors and 5,368 exhibitors.
An exhibition made up of people but also of contents: “We still have in our eyes the beauty that was undoubtedly the hallmark of the “Milan Design Week” – commented Carolina Giobbi, CMO of SICAM – where we reviewed the mechanisms, materials, decorations, appliances, components that were in the spotlight in Pordenone last October. The decision to position ourselves in autumn, thus with the proper advance so that the world of ideas and production can confront each other before the events of the following spring, has once again reaffirmed all its validity. The same will happen in a few months, confirmed by our meetings with operators in the sector all over the world, who know that they can find in SICAM an intense moment of business and meeting from which to look to a future that can only be better than the times we are living in”.
Meetings renewed in the stages of the SICAM roadshow present from its start at all the supply chain’s most important appointments, business events, and reviews. This year – after participating in the KBIS in Las Vegas, DelhiWood (New Delhi), the Dubai WoodShow and the aforementioned “Milan Design Week” – could not miss a significant stop in Germany. SICAM is the “Premium Sponsor” of the “Inside Branchen-Gipfel”, a “think tank” dedicated to the many facets of the future of living that will take place on 6 and 7 May in Munich. From 20 to 23 May, the second stage of the “German month” will be at Interzum in Cologne, where SICAM will be present with its stand (B070) on the Boulevard.
“Germany undoubtedly represents an important presence at SICAM,” continued Carolina Giobbi. “To date, German exhibitors represent just under 10 per cent of the total number of companies present with their stand at the fair, the largest national contingent behind Italy alone. If we add to this figure about 4 per cent of the total exhibitors from Austria and Switzerland, it is easy to understand the weight of the “Dach Area” for our event. The record has a significant counterpart on the visitor side: visiting German companies represent over 11 per cent of the total, a figure exceeding 16 per cent if we add arrivals from Austria and Switzerland here too”.
Therefore, it is easy to understand the enthusiasm and attention that SICAM shows again this year by being present in Cologne. A privileged moment to reaffirm and further increase the strong relationship that exists between two producing countries and two markets, Italy and Germany, that are undoubtedly a world reference point both in terms of furniture and furnishings and everything that contributes to their production.
