Why not use the golden ratio in lighting design as well?
The perception and use of the golden ratio have always been a fundamental reference in design. Present in nature and reinterpreted by great Renaissance masters such as Leonardo Da Vinci, it has influenced artists and architects in creating works based on harmonious and universally recognized proportions. Lighting can also reflect these principles: observing different cultures around the world, it emerges that Western aesthetics often favor orthogonal forms, while Eastern aesthetics frequently express themselves through logarithmic geometries. Despite their differences, both respect the “Phi” ratio, demonstrating how the harmony of forms is a shared language.
The minimum Maximum family was born from this vision, offering lighting solutions capable of interacting with spaces and architectures through a balance of proportions, modularity, and formal coherence.
Participation in the Light25 London exhibition marked a significant moment for Light At Motion, showcasing the company’s new design directions. On this occasion, the company introduced, in an international premiere, two important developments in the minimum Maximum family: EVO and FACADE.
The new minimum Maximum EVO represents the evolution of the ground-mounted fixture, redesigned in terms of materials and performance to ensure greater durability and versatility. Thanks to these improvements, EVO integrates seamlessly into various architectural contexts, offering reliable and uniform lighting solutions. The minimum Maximum FACADE expands the range with a LED model dedicated to facades, designed to enhance architectural elevations in both interior and exterior contexts while ensuring visual and luminous continuity from ground installations to vertical surfaces. Thanks to its robustness and architecture-integrated design, FACADE delivers consistent performance and uniform light over time.
With EVO and FACADE, the minimum Maximum family broadens its application possibilities, confirming the company’s commitment to providing professional tools that interact with architecture in an increasingly integrated and contemporary way.
minimum Maximum EVO represents the evolution of the ground-mounted fixture, redesigned to ensure greater durability and versatility. Key improvements include polyurethane resin coating for full protection against atmospheric agents, while the updated light diffusion system provides completely uniform illumination without edges.
The diffuser is made of tempered and laminated glass, also available in anti-slip version, with additional color options including satin bronze, satin smoke, and glossy black, allowing the fixture to adapt to a wide range of architectural contexts and design scenarios.
Thanks to these features, the product is particularly suitable for pedestrian and vehicular pavements, public spaces, pathways, and high-traffic areas. The monocolor, tunable white, and RGBW versions offer extensive design freedom, from functional wayfinding to more complex lighting scenographies.
The new minimum Maximum FACADE expands the range with a model dedicated to facades, designed to enhance architectural elevations in both interior and exterior contexts while ensuring visual and luminous continuity from ground installations to vertical surfaces.
The body in anodized aluminum and the opal plexiglass diffuser ensure uniform and stable light, while the polyurethane resin coating provides full protection against atmospheric agents and harsh environments.
Thanks to these characteristics, FACADE is particularly suitable for facades, architectural volumes, entrances, and vertical pathways, offering reliable and long-lasting lighting solutions. The monocolor, tunable white, and RGBW versions allow the creation of lighting atmospheres coherent with the building’s identity, maintaining design continuity with EVO ground installations.
Light At Motion continues to stand out for its collaborative approach with architects, lighting designers, and industry professionals, providing solutions that combine design, reliability, and innovation.
Participation in Light25 London represented a strategic opportunity to strengthen relationships with international partners and establish new collaborations, expanding the company’s professional network and reinforcing its global presence.
The LAM32 and Minimum Maximum brands confirm Light At Motion’s role today as an international reference point for those seeking fixtures capable of integrating seamlessly into contemporary architecture with quality, coherence, and consistent performance. With a global vision and ongoing dialogue with designers, the company continues to carry out projects that interpret spaces, enhance environments, and transform light into a creative and functional tool.
