The home automation system has a green identity
Surrounded by a park of 5,900 square meters, the Life Source accommodation centre in Bergamo, Italy, enjoys a privileged position overlooking the Upper Town. The avant-garde project, conceived by Arch. Leonardo Togni combines sustainability, design, technological innovation, architectural experimentation, functionality and aesthetics. Located on an aquifer – which allowed the creation of the scenic fountains in front of the building – the glass and steel structure overlooks the hills, with a cantilevered overhang that defines the entrance and from which a decorative water curtain flows. Hence the name “Life Source”, a construction designed to ensure sustainability throughout its life cycle and – thanks to innovative solutions – has obtained LEED Gold certification for its attention to energy and water saving and the choice of materials.
This transversal accommodation centre, able to combine hospitality, good food culture, and health, includes four realities: the Life Hotel, with 126 rooms; the Life Source Food Experience, with a gourmet restaurant, one bistro and a rooftop for exclusive convivial moments “one step away from heaven”; the wellness centre and the Life Clinic, equipped with an operating room for low and medium intensity surgery.
The precise green identity of Life Source is evident in the home automation system designed by Ing. Antonino Casale, in which Vimar technology makes the difference. The Well-contact Plus hotel management system is developed on KNX standards to make smart hospitality possible in the name of sustainability and well-being. To dress energy using design, at Life Source the Well-contact Plus system is aesthetically coordinated with the Eikon wiring accessories series with Tactil and Arké Classic controls. Check-in and check-out, presence status reporting, technical or emergency alarms, light and temperature status: everything can be programmed and supervised by the reception.
Intelligent technology that simplifies the work of staff and allows guests to enjoy their stay comfortably. Via Well-contact Plus, once the card is into the transponder card readers, the lights activate, the temperature is at the desired level and the presence of the guest is promptly reported to the reception: a true control room, even able to manage access control to the parking barrier, with the Tab 7S IP hands-free white video intercom indoor station and Pixel external entrance panel, of the Elvox Video Door Entry system. Thanks to its rational geometry and linear profile with sharp angles, the Arké Classic wiring accessories series with Reflex Smoked Grey front plate, grey controls and customised symbols fits perfectly into this contemporary environment.
For outdoor card readers Eikon Tactil with its pure crystal surface and delicate charm. An unperceivable presence, which protrudes a few millimetres from the wall and has a backlit LED symbology. Life Source is a unique way of experiencing hospitality through a set of immersive experiences that make nature and the environment their inspiration.
