Masiero presents a collection of cylindrical lamps with a striped brass structure
The name of the refined collection of suspensions, wall lamps and table lamp “Naar” by Scatter d evokes in Persian the colour of fire and, by synaesthesia, a warm and soft light, suitable both for a dinner with friends and for the intimate reading of a book. The creative instinct of the designers was born from the encounter with the striped surface of brass, a technique that belongs to industrial manufacturing and retains its recognisable beauty over time.
The collection of cylindrical lamps with a striped brass structure was born from the material potential and processing techniques experimentation of Masiero's expertise, featuring studied and clear-cut lines, from which the luminous flux radiates. Available in three lengths and three different kinds of oblique cuts at the ends, the minimal suspended cylinders give shape to customised cluster configurations. The light comes out of the lower suspension end and is reflected on the neighbouring ones, returning different reverberations. Formal rigour combines with compositional potential: minimal pipes crossed by a graphic rhythm of vertical lines reminding of canneté, give life to transversal atmospheres. The three-dimensional textures and chiaroscuro that define the metal surface properly fit different environments: from domestic spaces to large rooms requiring great-impact installations. The tabletop version has a cut that simulates a dodging excavation, letting the light beam diffusely escape. Two elegant finishes, champagne and Terra di Marte, featured by the additional hand brushing, enhance the brass's preciousness with a two-tone effect.
In the pendants, the LED light source directs the luminous flow downwards, while in the wall lamp version, the light is also emitted upwards.
