From 20 to 23 October, in Pordenone, exhibitors and visitors will learn about and discuss new opportunities
The Pordenone exhibition centre is ready to welcome the 700 exhibitors, 32 per cent coming from abroad, who will animate the Sicam 2026 edition, the International Exhibition of Components, Semi-finished Products and Accessories for the Furniture Industry. The 20 thousand net square metres of available exhibition space are fully booked, and are preparing to welcome the thousands of companies that this year – as confirmed by pre-registrations – will come from all over the world to visit Sicam and experience first-hand this event that combines business, meeting quality, pragmatism and determination to look to the future. Never more than in the past twelve months have the organisers been so strongly committed to creating an event that is not only functional, enjoyable, practical, and effective from a business perspective, but also fosters and stimulates new collaborations, enabling exhibitors and visitors to explore and discuss new opportunities at Sicam 2026, from October 20 to 23.
Among these is the renewed partnership with ITA, the government agency for Italian companies’ promotion abroad and internationalisation, which will enable Sicam 2026 to host a delegation of entrepreneurs, buyers, architects, and interior designers from Angola, Canada, Indonesia, Mexico, the United States, South Africa, and Vietnam.
Regarding markets that may hold pleasant surprises for the future, a collaboration agreement has been signed with the Economic Assembly of Uzbekistan, an organisation that promotes the Asian country’s economy. Under this agreement, a delegation of Uzbek entrepreneurs from the furniture sector will visit the Sicam stands in search of semi-finished products, materials, hardware, and finishes that will enable them to define a modern, more functional style of living.
There could also be interesting developments in relation to furniture markets in the Asia-Pacific region: Sicam has established an interesting partnership with FIND Design Fair Asia, an event taking place this November in Bangkok and the very first signs of this collaboration are already expected to emerge at the fair.
For the 2026 edition, too, Sicam has confirmed its readiness to host events designed to make a tangible contribution to the strategies of the companies exhibiting at the fair. This has resulted in a calendar of selected events—opportunities for networking and in-depth insight that highlight new prospects—which are particularly valuable at a time when the furniture and furnishings sector is seeking new paths to follow.
On Monday 19 October, the eve of the fair, journalists who are already in Pordenone are invited to the inaugural event of "Enjoy Pordenone with Sicam" (from 6.30 pm at the Cloister of the former San Francesco Convent); also, this year the deep collaboration with the city of Pordenone, which in 2027 will be the Italian capital of culture, is renewed. For the fourth time, the Pordenone Municipality organises a rich "post-fair" program of appointments, events, tastings, and meetings that will allow exhibitors and visitors to learn about the city's history, beauty, culture, food and wine.
On Tuesday, October 20th, the first day of the fair, Sicam will host for the second time the Kyiv International Furniture Summit, an event now at its fifth edition, dedicated to the reconstruction process in Ukraine. At 1.30 pm, in Sala Zuliani, the "Bespoke Leaders Meeting" will kick off, with the contribution of many international speakers – architects, buyers, contractors, international investors and companies – who will discuss the role of design and the furniture industry in the necessary interventions to restore life and dignity to communities and territories as part of the international project "Ukraine: Rebuild Green 2030".
Wednesday, October 21st will be an extremely busy day:
In the Sala Superiore, the Camera di Commercio Italiana in Vietnam (ICHAM) hosts the event kicking off at 11 a.m.: the "Discover Vietnam: new business opportunities in Asia" seminar focusing on the economic context and the opportunities offered by a country in which a furniture and interior design supply chain of great importance and in continuous, strong expansion has been active for some time. The event will offer the attending companies the occasion to get to know this market more closely and to deepen their commercial, industrial and investment prospects.
At 2 p.m., in the Sala Superiore, Federchimica Avisa and Catas will present the volume "Il rivestimento di profili e pannelli nell’industria del mobile e arredamento", a comprehensive manual on glueing. Among the speakers are Fabio Chiozza, coordinator of Adesivi per legno e arredamento di Avisa Gruppo adesivi e sigillanti di Federchimica, and Paolo Tirelli, director of Catas, the most important European laboratory for tests and certifications in the furniture world, who wanted and created the volume. Worth mentioning are also Stefano Romagnano (Durante Adesivi), Massimiliano Redaelli (Schattdecor) and Stefano Monti (Bonlex Europe).
At 5 p.m., in the Sala Superiore, the "Discover the American Market" seminar, an overview of the US market and key current trends drawing on data provided by the NKBA (National Kitchen and Bath Association), focusing on one of the most important markets for furniture and furnishing supplies. At the end, participants can meet the members of the operators' delegation who have come from the United States to visit the Sicam 2026 edition.
On Thursday, October 22nd, at 5 pm in the Sala Superiore, an interesting question will be answered: "What do designers look for, today, from companies in the supply chain?”. Organised by the Finiture Green platform, the round table will bring together industrial designers, architects, service and material providers. Industrial products are at a turning point, and in a market where offerings increasingly tend to resemble one another, innovation cannot stop at aesthetics. The designer is therefore called upon to search for materials, components and solutions to give the product an identity, a functionality, a true value. They will talk about that with Patricia Malavolti, founder and publisher of Finiture Green, Igino Forlin (industrial designer), Luca Tormena (Neadesign), Marco Marin (designer), Francesca Amato (Flow Agency) and Adler technicians.
On Friday, October 23rd at 10:00 a.m.—the final day of the trade fair—the Zuliani Hall will host one of Sicam’s now-traditional and most dynamic events. The prestigious collaboration with ADI Friuli Venezia Giulia continues through 2026, marking another milestone in an initiative designed to foster an increasingly intense and productive dialogue between education and local industry. The conference will provide an occasion to present the results of projects launched during Sicam 2025 – developed by students based on challenges proposed by participating companies – and to launch the new initiative edition. The companies involved will propose new research topics and design challenges that students can explore in greater depth by visiting the exhibition and meeting the exhibitors.
