Nine Design Forces Shaping the Future of Home Living
The 57th edition of CIFF Guangzhou is about to open at the Canton Fair Complex in Guangzhou Pazhou, once again unfolding across its traditional two-phase format. Across both sessions, the exhibition will bring together over 850,000 square meters of exhibition space, more than 5,100 exhibitors and over 360,000 professional visitors from more than 200 countries and regions, confirming its position as the world’s largest trade platform for the entire furniture industry supply chain.
Attention is now focused on Phase 1 (March 18–21, 2026), dedicated to the world of home living with the Home Furniture, Upholstery, Dining&Living, Homedecor & Hometextile and Outdoor,Sunshade & Leisure Furniture sectors. In this context, CIFF Guangzhou presents itself as an international observatory of emerging living cultures, offering a comprehensive perspective on the transformations reshaping design, lifestyle and global markets.
Guided by the theme CONNECT · CREATE, the Home Furniture exhibition explores nine key concepts that interpret the evolution of contemporary design and the future of domestic environments.
A renewed global interest in Asian cultural heritage inspires designers to reinterpret traditional craftsmanship, materials and spatial sensibilities through contemporary languages, creating a dialogue between Eastern philosophy and international design culture.
Design increasingly responds to the search for wellbeing. Materials, light and spatial composition are used to create calming environments that reconnect people with nature and promote healthier lifestyles.
CIFF strengthens its role as a global meeting point where designers, brands and architects from different cultures exchange ideas and build new creative collaborations.
Solid wood furniture evolves through advanced processing techniques, refined finishes and lighter design approaches, demonstrating how traditional materials can be reimagined for contemporary living.
Chinese design continues to gain international visibility. CIFF explores how cultural identity, innovation and industrial capabilities are shaping new strategies for global competitiveness.
As pets become true members of the family, interior design increasingly integrates solutions that support harmonious human–pet cohabitation, combining comfort, safety and aesthetics.
With ageing populations worldwide, inclusive design becomes a priority. Ergonomics, smart technologies and accessible spatial solutions help create homes that support independence and quality of life.
Artificial intelligence is emerging as a powerful creative tool, opening new possibilities for generative design processes, product development and innovation.
Furniture increasingly becomes a form of cultural expression, transforming homes into spaces where design, art and lifestyle merge into new narratives of contemporary living.
Through this vision, CIFF Guangzhou 2026 once again confirms its role as a global platform where design, innovation and industry converge to anticipate the future of living.
