Francesconi Architectural Light designed the lighting of the Velvet Bar at Palazzo Soave, Verona

The elegant and versatile lighting solutions by Francesconi Architectural Light have been chosen for the new lighting project of the Velvet Bar, an exclusive “cocktail bar” located inside the historical Palazzo Soave, in the heart of Verona. Palazzo Soave is a building of great historical and architectural prestige. Dating back to the fifteenth century, with soaring walls decorated by the Parisian painter Dorigny’s frescoes, it is characterized by majestic arches, careful structural details and accessories that catch the eye at every glance. Located in the historical center of Verona it represents a reference point for those looking for exclusive experiences surrounded by charm and tradition. After a long period of neglect, it has been recently renovated to host high-level spaces dedicated to hospitality and entertainment. The Velvet Bar is a proof of this new life of the building. The refined settings of the club are perfectly integrated with the aesthetics of the building, creating a marriage between history and modernity.

The lighting project developed by Francesconi Architectural Light in collaboration with Arch. Lucio Merlini and the Lighting Designers of the agency CF Studio was designed to enhance the inside of the club. The intervention was not only aimed to give light to the environment but also to highlight the architectural elements, in a balanced combination of design, atmosphere and functionality. Light was designed to achieve an enchanting and sophisticated feeling, ideal for a cocktail bar which aims to offer a complete sensory experience. The columns and vertical surfaces of the Velvet Bar have been emphasised by FLEA MAXI floor recessed fixtures, equipped with anti-glare honeycomb screens. Thanks to the total dimming of the installed lamps, it is possible to modulate the intensity of light according to the time of day and the desired atmosphere. LED sources with a warm colour temperature have been chosen to create a sense of hospitality and exclusivity, highlighting at the same time the fine decorations and materials used in furniture.

Light has the power to transform spaces and to define the feelings of those who live them,” says Arch. Filippo Badinelli, CEO and owner of Francesconi Architectural Light – “For the Velvet Bar, we worked on a lighting concept that could enhance the elegance of the place without changing its historical identity, creating a discreet but powerful lighting.

The intervention of Francesconi Architectural Light at Palazzo Soave represents a further step in the company’s journey into the luxury hospitality sector. The ability to combine cutting-edge technology, innovation and aesthetic awareness has made the company a reference point for high-level lighting projects in Italy and abroad.

A tailor-made lighting to create a unique atmosphere.
