A new chapter in luxury hospitality

The 5-star Hotel Melià Milan’s total restyling project has been completed

Vittorio Grassi Architects, a well-known international architecture firm, announces the completion of the 5-star Melià Milano hotel’s total restyling, in Via Masaccio, a project born thanks to the synergy with ASAH ARQUITECTURA HOTELERA and the innovative concept of the Spanish architect Álvaro Sans. Located in a strategic and constantly evolving urban context, a few steps from CityLife, the impressive project saw the two architectural studios intervene on the 291 rooms spread over 5 floors, as well as on all the common areas such as the hall, business centre, meeting rooms, restaurant and cafeteria. The intervention is confirmed as an exemplary work of functional and smart green design, able to respond to the needs of a cosmopolitan clientele.

The entire hotel restyling plan was developed in three macro-phases, progressively involving all building areas, enhancing the structure’s identity, and the experience of high-end Milanese hospitality. After the renovation of the common areas was completed in 2021, Melià also decided to intervene on the 291 rooms, rethinking them according to a style consistent and in continuity with the design solutions already introduced in the lobby and in the indoor and outdoor hospitality areas, including the Mamì Restaurant and the Elyxr Meliá cafeteria.

The new environments thus give life to a continuum that the designers have packaged as a “tailor-made suit” that unifies the entire structure, in the warm and welcoming colours and atmospheres.

Spread over five floors, the new rooms are Standard and The Level. Equipped to ensure maximum comfort, they can transform guests’ stay into an experience of extreme relaxation thanks to a private corner bar and, for The Level rooms, a dedicated lounge. The design, sober and elegant, is expressed through a harmonious mix of colours, fine finishes and essences that dialogue with each other in shades of ivory, walnut, forest green, polished bronze and black marble, to create a luxurious and comfortable experience.

The entirely custom furnishings are studied in detail and give each room high standards of quality and livability.
