Contemporary lighting is a challenge between aesthetics and physics. With the disappearance of the light source in favour of pure LED light, the role of diffusers and extrusions in polycarbonate or PMMA has become truly decisive. Optical Precision and Flow Control

Light management requires certified materials. Mavis works exclusively with certified high-quality PCs and PMMA, developing LED covers, opal covers, satin and smoked diffusers, also from chemical recycling, designed to eliminate the unsightly “dot effect”. Thanks to its in-house mould workshop, the company can ensure polycarbonate and PMMA (Plexiglass) covers with an impeccable surface and constant luminous efficiency: fundamental requirements for the correct propagation of light in LED systems.

  • Glow Wire Test (GWT): Materials tested at 850°C and 960°C.
  • Optical Management: study of the lenses to direct the light.
  • Durability: UV resistance according to UL94, and maintaining transparency.
