The open system for lighting that evolves with space
In a world where environments are changing ever more rapidly, lighting is called upon to keep pace, interpreting gestures and rhythms as they shift. Lodes responds to this evolution with DoubleZero7, the new track lighting solution designed to offer a dynamic and versatile lighting concept that pushes beyond the boundaries of traditional design, meeting the growing need for modularity in contemporary interior architecture.
DoubleZero7 is an open and reconfigurable system that brings together the different languages of light – architectural, decorative and functional – combining lighting precision, compositional freedom and aesthetic value within a single, coherent vision. DoubleZero7 is Lodes’ first open track system. A lighting infrastructure designed not only to accommodate dedicated architectural lighting modules, but also to be compatible with all the suspension lights in the catalogue. The track runs through the space like a graphic line, creating fluid and consistent scenarios in which technical function becomes part of the decorative gesture, naturally adapting to every type of setting – from residential to hospitality, from retail to contract environments.
“With DoubleZero7, we wanted to offer professionals a tool that moves with the same flexibility with which spaces transform. It is a system conceived to be open, modular and naturally adaptable to different functions, geometries and atmospheres. Our idea was to create a solution that combines technical rigour with compositional freedom while maintaining the aesthetic identity of Lodes. DoubleZero7 embodies this vision: lighting that accompanies the development of architecture, evolves with those who experience it and embraces change as an opportunity for design.”
Lodes Managing Director Massimiliano Tosetto
At the heart lies a 48V electrified track, a minimalist graphic line, a discreet architectural feature that becomes a support for ever-changing lighting scenarios. Thanks to a dedicated cluster clip – designed by the company’s in-house team and the heart of the project – all cluster suspensions in the Lodes catalogue can be attached anywhere along the guide. The clip houses the power cable, leaving the suspensions free to move while preserving their formal purity and lighting performance. The cluster clip becomes a simple but fundamental module. A central element that allows decorative design and architectural lighting to communicate in a single, coherent language: the DoubleZero7 track system.
A solution that showcases the company’s manufacturing expertise and its ability to transform technical complexity into a simple, intuitive and reliable gesture.
Alongside decorative suspensions, DoubleZero7 offers a complete range of architectural lighting modules: a spotlight available in three sizes, a ceiling light, a line of light and a wallwasher. All elements that can be attached to the track and repositioned easily and intuitively. The light output of the spot modules can also be adjusted using the optional Honeycomb accessory and the various available optics, expanding expressive possibilities and reinforcing the system’s interaction with the user. Finally, the light line is slightly recessed within the track, making it even more discreet and integrated into the architecture.
Available in three applications – trimless recessed, surface and suspended up&down – DoubleZero7 adapts with elegance and discretion to different functions, volumes and atmospheres.
The recessed version integrates seamlessly into the ceiling, revealing only the luminous elements; the surface-mounted version, installed on the ceiling, showcases an extremely slim profile and essential graphic rigour; the suspended version, supported by thin cables, interacts with the space through a double light emission: indirect light upwards and direct light downwards.
In the recessed and surface-mounted versions, dedicated connectors allow the profiles to be joined to form continuous lines, curved corners or 90° paths along ceilings and walls. Light thus becomes an integral part of the architecture, creating a flexible pattern that interprets spaces and enhances their geometry and volumes.
As in every Lodes project, the balance between technology and aesthetics is expressed in the meticulous attention to detail. The track profile is extremely thin, and the guide can either be left exposed or covered with a black cover that conceals the internal groove, blending into walls and ceilings.
The matte finishes – black and champagne for the surface-mounted and suspended versions, black for the recessed version – define a refined and contemporary visual presence. Colours and materials become a common thread that allows different Lodes products to be combined within the same environment, maintaining consistency, identity and visual uniformity.
The architectural lighting modules share the same attention to detail: the attachment mechanism is reduced to the minimum, while the soft, sinuous silhouettes contribute to an elegant and contemporary appearance. The ceiling light and the light line feature microprismatic surfaces that optimise diffusion and reduce glare, ensuring a high level of visual comfort.
Even the power supply module – designed for situations where a remote driver is not used – has been conceived to be minimal and functional: positioned at the beginning or centre of the track, it provides an ideal solution for interiors with a single light point requiring uniform illumination.
Aimed at both residential and contract markets, DoubleZero7 is a design tool capable of meeting a wide range of project requirements.
In residential settings, it becomes part of everyday life, illuminating tables, islands and worktops – particularly in living areas and in open-plan settings with kitchens overlooking the living space.
In F&B and contract environments, the light travels along walls and ceilings, enhancing desks and tables in bars and restaurants, marking out pathways and highlighting elements such as artworks or furnishings. DoubleZero7 also enables the creation of lines of light that emphasise the geometry of sleeping areas in hotel rooms, as well as corridors or workspaces, creating intimate and atmospheric scenes. In oval or organically shaped interiors, reflecting new trends in interior design, the tracks follow the curves of the space like an invisible thread that unites lighting and architecture.
In spaces with very high, sloping or beamed ceilings, the suspended version brings the light closer to people, providing balance and visual comfort.
DoubleZero7 introduces a new lighting narrative within Lodes’ design journey: an open, versatile and modular framework, conceived to evolve over time alongside the spaces and the people who inhabit them.
Thus, the concept of “Standard Bespoke” opens up a new compositional dimension: with DoubleZero7, this concept moves from vertical clusters to horizontal and linear compositions, transferring Lodes’ aesthetic quality to an architectural system. Straight lines, curves, ovals and personalised layouts are now possible, to satisfy both decorative and technical requirements.
At a time when environments evolve rapidly and architecture is increasingly fluid, light becomes an active part of the project, capable of continually changing and redefining its role.
