Matlight Milano, in partnership with Superbia Domus, at Editions, Downtown Design Dubai 2025
At the 12th edition of the prestigious Downtown Design Dubai international fair, as part of EDITIONS – an exhibition dedicated to limited edition art and design – Matlight Milano was present with two products from the UNIQUE line at the stand of Superbia Domus, a luxury furniture brand based in Dubai (UAE), specializing in “bespoke” furniture and interior design that emphasizes “Made in Italy” with high-end Italian artisan products.
This collaboration arose from the desire of the company – founded in 2014 and now recognized as a brand of excellence in the field of high-end decorative lighting design – to consolidate its relations with the Middle East. This is a strategic market that has increasingly appreciated exclusive, custom-made lighting creations over the years. In this context, Matlight Milano has distinguished itself as the ideal partner, thanks to its collections made with precious stones such as alabaster, onyx, selenite, marble, and travertine combined with brass and bronze. EDITIONS has enabled leading architecture firms and interior designers to appreciate the value of Matlight Milano, an authentic expression of Italian craftsmanship and a bespoke player in decorative lighting that strives for excellence.
At the Superbia Domus stand, two extraordinary OYSTER wall lights from the UNIQUE collection were on display, a product category that brings together Matlight Milano’s most artistic and experimental creations. These unique pieces are the result of meticulous craftsmanship and creative vision, in harmonious dialogue that transforms stone into a living material, giving it unique shapes. With UNIQUE, the company experiments with the freest and most refined form of design, where stone meets light in an artistic way. Entirely handmade, the pair of OYSTER wall lamps on display in Dubai is made of mustard yellow onyx, a natural stone with warm tones and organic veins. At its center is a sinuous element in bronzed brass that seems to float on the stone and give depth to the lamp. Perfect for sophisticated environments, it also stands out as a decorative sculptural element.
