For over 50 years, Italamp has been capturing the magic of light by designing bespoke lighting collections and installations, which embody Italian craftsmanship and the brand’s ongoing aesthetic exploration. Among the brand’s most artistic creations is Kaleido, a decorative system comprising spectacular cascades of light made from crystal, glass and porcelain, which transform light into a truly three-dimensional experience. Designed for contract and hospitality settings as well as high-end residences, Kaleido redefines the concept of bespoke lighting thanks to highly customisable compositions, tailored to the client’s requirements.
Kaleido Palette is a new configuration inspired by the archetype of the brushstroke. Minimalist and refined, the composition stems from the idea of a smooth, unique gesture suspended in mid-air. Thin glass strips overlap like traces of light, evoking the movement of colour on canvas with delicate balance. Glass, the undisputed star, is thus transformed into a vibrant surface, capable of capturing and refracting light with an almost painterly sensitivity. The shades come together like pigments on an artist’s palette, creating unique, ever-changing compositions where rhythm, transparency and luminous silences coexist in perfect balance. Simple in every respect, yet much more than a decorative object.
The Bloomé project is the perfect way to showcase the company’s ability to combine elegance, innovation and authentic ‘Made in Italy’ expertise. Through the purity of crystal, it stands out for its ability to transform light into a poetic narrative inspired by nature and the beauty of its forms, with a luminous cascade of tulips. The design features a metal flower stem in Nickel Gold, Light Gold and Matt Champagne finishes, whilst the cut crystal buds depict the two stages of flowering: closed (available in clear crystal) and in bloom (in an iridescent, clear or clear with cut finish).
Bloomé lends itself to various interpretations; it is available with suspension cables of equal length for a more linear and architectural effect, or in varying lengths that recreate the natural movement of a suspended bouquet. This versatility allows it to blend harmoniously into different settings, from the most exclusive contract projects to the most elegant residential schemes.
The 13 Kaleido items in the catalogue – Palette, Bloomé, Alyssa, Dalia, Pluma, Lila, Lisia, Marina, Neda and Sella (available in the colours Transparent, Smoked, Dove Grey, Topaz, Sage, Acidato, Teak, Amber, Bluino and Salmon) – together with Ori, Flora and Reva (offered in luxurious colours including Gold, Silver and Titanium) – redefine the concept of bespoke lighting, creating ever-changing configurations that captivate with their magical design.
