Alba’s New Collections: A Balance of Functionality, Versatility, and Design

13 October 2025

From the Forma and Marca chairs to the Match table: a focus on the collections unveiled at Interzum

At Interzum 2025, Alba introduced three new furniture lines: Forma, Marca, and Match, designed to meet the needs of different settings with versatile and contemporary solutions. Within the context of the fair, the Venetian company’s exhibition space showcased the debut of these collections, highlighting both their aesthetic and technical aspects.

The first new release is Forma, a chair with sharp yet enveloping lines, developed in collaboration with designer Emanuele Bertolini and conceived for both contract and residential environments, indoors and outdoors alike. The collection stands out for the completeness of its shell offering: alongside the version in certified recycled plastic, there is also a polyurethane variant, designed exclusively for upholstery. For this latter option, Alba also proposes an additional interpretation, with a more linear and rational profile, without the opening in the backrest.

All shells can be paired with a wide range of bases: 4 plastic legs, 4 wooden legs, 4 metal legs, 4 aluminum spokes, as well as a beam-mounting kit for waiting benches. The collection’s versatility extends to the color palette, which includes ivory, black, gray, pink, red, and green, also available for the recycled plastic shell. Completing the range is a set of accessories, including a practical upholstered panel that can be applied to the seat of the plastic shell. The collection has also obtained EN16139 Level 1 certification in the 4-leg metal base configuration.

The second new release for 2025 is Marca, developed in collaboration with designer Stefano Bettio. Compact and lightweight, the collection is intended for community settings and environments requiring a large number of chairs. The single-shell structure, made of certified recycled plastic, can be complemented with an upholstered seat panel and is offered in six color options: ivory, black, gray, red, green, and blue. The range of bases and frames includes several options: 4-leg metal, 4-spoke, Conference 4-leg metal, swivel base, and a kit for beam-mounted benches. Particularly versatile is the Conference frame configuration, which can be enhanced with accessories especially suited for conference halls and auditoriums: side linking hooks, armrests, and armrests fitted for a writing tablet. The collection is also EN16139 Level 1 certified for the 4-leg and Conference 4-leg versions.

The third release of 2025 is Match, a tilting-top table developed entirely by AlbaLab, the company’s R&D department. Designed for training, educational, co-working, multifunctional, and conference environments, it is available in two versions: with a telescopic beamEN 15372:2023 certified and adjustable in six different lengths — or with a fixed beam offered in three sizes. The versatile and multifunctional nature of Match is emphasized by the patented system that allows the tabletop to be tilted: an intuitive mechanism, operated by a single handle located under the tabletop, which facilitates the transition from use to rest mode, making the product extremely versatile. Standard features also include an accidental tipping prevention device and a height adjustment system for the tabletop. Additional accessories are available, such as a linking system for connecting multiple tables and a mechanism that enables the installation and use of a modesty panel. The project’s pragmatic and functional approach is also reflected in the clean design of the metal legs, available in white, black, and gray, and fitted with casters to facilitate movement and storage when not in use.

In addition to these three new collections, in 2025 Alba also expanded the Jota collection, designed by Marialaura Irvine. Alongside the Elegance frame version, characterized by its distinctive curved legs, a new 4-leg metal frame has been introduced, featuring a more linear and classic design that broadens the product’s potential uses and applications.

Through its latest proposals, Alba continues its journey toward a more defined and distinctive identity, aiming to establish itself in the market as a manufacturer with a constant focus on design and material quality, without compromising on sustainability and ease of use.
