“DIALOGHI DI MATERIA – WHERE DESIGN TAKES FORM”
A journey into the heart of craftsmanship, behind the scenes, and the latest Made in Italy collections
During Milano Design Week 2026, ITALAMP – an Italian company that has been interpreting and celebrating high-end decorative lighting design for over 50 years – presented its exclusive new collections at gioiAtelier showroom at Via Melchiorre Gioia 8, nearby Gae Aulenti district and Corso Como. Throughout the week, gioiAtelier – a space shared with Capital Collection and Atmosphera – hosted the Fuorisalone event “Dialoghi di Materia – Where Design Takes Form”, a project that placed materials at the heart of the creative process. ITALAMP invited its guests to embark on a journey into the essence of craftsmanship and Made in Italy through a visual narrative that weaves together materials, ideas and design languages.
The showroom has been transformed into an open atelier, designed to guide designers, architects and, design lovers in discovering craftsmanship and contemporary design. A space for meeting and sharing ideas, dedicated to the dialogue between light, surfaces and forms, enriched by product previews, video installations and insights into what goes on behind the scenes.
In this exclusive setting, ITALAMP unveiled 7 extraordinary new products, expanding its range with pendant, table and floor lamps.
Following the success of the applique version, CLIP, designed by Pio&Tito Toso, has stood out among the novelties. Available with a single diffuser in thermoformed glass in two sizes and in Brown, Grey and Amethyst finishes, the new pendant embodies the art and poetry of design, thanks to the magical combination of materials with timeless appeal. The glass captures and modulates the light, diffusing soft reflections that evoke the memory of dawn, whilst the metal, acting as a counterpoint, provides support and lends a character that is both bold and light. Together, they seek and find one another, in an evocative pairing that enhances the design. There are two switching modes for varied lighting: the suspension is equipped with both a double downward-facing LED spotlight, to ensure focused and functional light, and a pair of LED strips on the metal bars, which can also be activated separately.
The Celebrities collection introduces CHEOPE, designed by Roberta Vitadello, a modular chandelier that reinterprets classic design in a contemporary style and redefines its aesthetic in an innovative way through customisable configurations.
Dimensions range from the single version to the double version, with the possibility of dimensional variations depending on the chosen design. A pair in a nickel and transparent glass finish was on display in the showroom and, is also available in a Gold Nickel and Teak glass variant.
Further new additions include two new Kaleido installations, designed to express the brand’s most creative and poetic spirit, where light becomes a language and a narrative medium.
PALETTE stands out for its minimalist and refined composition: thin flat glass elements overlap like luminous brushstrokes, evoking a delicate balance between formal rigour and visual lightness. Glass, the absolute protagonist, is thus transformed into a vibrant surface, capable of capturing and refracting light with an almost painterly sensibility. Available in all colours of the Kaleido collection.
Alongside this new collection, the iconic BLOOMÉ has been redesigned in delicate shades of matt champagne, transparent crystal and etched glass. Its forms seem to blossom in the space like a suspended flower, diffusing a soft, enveloping light. Together, these creations portray a luminous vision made up of poetry, material and colour, in which every detail contributes to creating a unique aesthetic experience. The secret to a successful collection lies in its ability to evolve without losing its identity, transforming into new expressions of design. It is from this philosophy that the expansion of the MUNA family stems, which now welcomes the new large table version with cable: a sculptural piece capable of transforming the atmosphere. Thanks to its generous dimensions MUNA becomes the protagonist, and its soft glow creates an oasis of pure well-being.
It is crafted from striped blown glass in Dove, Fumé and Transparent finishes, paired with an internal white glass diffuser. The same refined colour palette is also featured in the large and small pendant versions within the range. The design is completed by a delicate crystal detail at the top and a iron grey coloured metal base. One of the most engaging experiences within the materials area is a classic-style floor lamp created by ITALAMP.
A unique piece, designed to be personalised directly by visitors, who have left their own creative mark on it – the result of their own insights and personal touches. The set-up of the materials area was supplemented by a spectacular display of photo frames designed to showcase a selection of exclusive interiors created by ITALAMP and Capital Collection. Alongside these images, there were inspirational moodboards that gave rise to the creations, offering an immediate insight into the creative process, from the initial idea through to its realisation. Finally, a full-wall LED screen showing videos dedicated to the making of the products allowed the companies to show off their joint work with designers and master craftsmen, revealing to the public the craftsmanship that makes Italian design unique.
At the same time, ITALAMP took part in a wide-ranging programme of events across the fair and the city, strengthening its presence during Design Week.
A full exhibition itinerary that explores locations, collaborations and design visions, confirming ITALAMP’s ability to interpret light as both an emotional and architectural element.
