To mark the 10th anniversary of the iconic rechargeable table lamp Bon Jour Unplugged by Philippe Starck, Flos releases a new edition with updated colour palette and technology
Launched by Flos in 2015, Philippe Starck‘s iconic Bon Jour Unplugged table lamp marked the dawn of a new category in lighting: the portable, rechargeable table lamp. With its essential design, understated elegance, revolutionary technology and unparalleled functionality, this small lamp – complete with its range of interchangeable crowns – quickly became a must-have, an ethereal light to take anywhere and for any occasion.
To celebrate its tenth anniversary, Flos presents an updated version of Bon Jour Unplugged, featuring a sophisticated new palette of colours developed in collaboration with its creator to enhance the lamp’s emotional appeal: from the soft and delicate tones of Almost White, Faded Blue and Fresh Mint, to the warm elegance of French Rose, the contemporary refinement of Stormy Grey, the bold Black Chrome, which join the classic Copper and Chrome finishes to offer a broad spectrum of options to suit any space and style. The signature transparent crown, previously available as an accessory, is now included as standard: a distinctive element that underscores the lamp’s ethereal character and timeless design. The selection of interchangeable diffusers – Amber, Fumée, Fabric and Rattan – remains unchanged, allowing for personalisation of both the lamp’s aesthetic and lighting effect.
The other important innovation for Bon Jour Unplugged is the introduction of brand-new Color Tune light technology. Simply by holding down an optical sensor, users can precisely adjust the colour of the light from a very warm white (2200°K) to a welcoming white (2700°K) up to a clear white (3000°K). This allows Bon Jour Unplugged to adapt even more to various needs, from soft ambient lighting to brighter, functional illumination. The light output can be easily adjusted from 3% to 30%, 70% and 100% via the optical sensor.
Wireless table lamp in ABS and PMMA, powered by a lithium-ion battery, rechargeable via USB Type-C. The new edition of Bon Jour Unplugged also features built-in Qi wireless charging, compatible with any electromagnetic induction charger, making charging even easier and cable-free. A single charge provides up to 6 hours of continuous use.
