Cosentino presents the new Le Chic collection for indoor applications inspired by the charm of Victorian and Parisian spaces that recovers the beauty of surfaces rich in veining. The Spanish company interprets the veined motifs with the advanced technology of Silestone® to offer an elegant and timeless material version with high technical performance: maximum resistance to stains, bumps and scratches and minimal absorption of liquids.
Silestone® Le Chic comes in six colours characterized by expressive streaks and metallic accents that stand out on neutral backgrounds such as cream and darker shades such as blue and black.
On a light background: Eclectic Pearl characterized by delicate and light veins and a granular texture in warm tones with metallic accents; Versailles Ivory with irregular and nuanced yellow-orange streaks, recalls the exuberance of the interiors of the Palace of Versailles; Victorian Silver characterized by cooler tones and silver and dark grey streaks for a sophisticated colour, suitable for any type of space.
On a black and shaded background, Bohemian Flame with copper inlays recalling the movement of lava on the volcanic soil and Romantic Ash with light and bright veins and grains which, sprinkled over the entire surface in a chromatic contrast, create an irregular and heterogeneous design that recalls a starry sky. Finally, Parisien Blue is inspired by the shades of imperial Roman stones with an intense and deep grey-blue background crossed by thin veins in shades of ochre for a surface with a strong personality and a decisive character.
To achieve such detailed and depth-filled designs with articulated and overlapping grains and veins, the Spanish company uses an innovative design system with a moulding mechanism that gives life to particles and minerals in a wide range of sizes from which it is possible to create the incredible textures of Le Chic.
The Silestone® production process also guarantees efficiency and sustainability: the patented HybriQ+ technology uses 99% recycled water and 100% renewable energy; all Silestone® slabs are at least 20% recycled raw materials, and the percentage of crystalline silica is lower than 40%.

– Flos illuminated ‘The Reading Room’ by Formafantasma at the Stockholm Furniture Fair –
Flos, has collaborated with Formafantasma and Stockholmsmässan last February on the occasion of Stockholm Furniture Fair, the largest and most important meeting place for furniture- and lighting design and interior architecture in Sweden.
Honouring its long-lasting relationship with the studio founded by Italian designers Andrea Trimarchi and Simone Farresin – Guests of Honor at this year’s show, Flos illuminated The Reading Room, a site-specific installation designed by the duo for the Entrance Hall. A clean, impressive array of iconic WireLine pendant lamps in a forest green finish perfectly match the space design concept.
The meaningful synergy between Flos and Formafantasma – based on shared values, commitment and research – has been expressed through the years not only in product design but also in collaborations for special installations in art and design shows or leading trade fairs, as in the case of The Reading Room: a quiet space where visitors could sit, read and reflect.
