Liberty and Stilla: advanced versatility

17 July 2026

Two examples of Ivars’ evolving nature developed thanks to a deep research and development study

Versatility for any use: this is the design principle that has guided Liberty’s creation, the new seating range by Ivars officially presented at Interzum 2025. A collection designed to naturally adapt into a variety of environments – from Office spaces to Community areas, from healthcare contexts to Waiting Areas – thanks to a system of configurations capable of meeting the diverse functional and aesthetic needs. Essential lines, balanced proportions and ergonomic focus combine in a project that brings together comfort and utmost compositional freedom.

The frame is available in 6 different configurations to suit every need: 4 legs metal frame, 4 legs on castors, cantilever, bench, swivel base and stool, offering a multipurpose solution for collective, professional and educational environments. Furthermore, seat and back play a key role in the aesthetic and functional characterization of the seating model.

The backrest is available in full plastic at sight, a solution especially indicated for high-use or medical spaces due to its ease of cleaning; plastic back with holes that lightens the visual perception giving dynamisms to the chair; mesh, flexible and breathable, ideal for operative working stations or extended use; and lastly the upholstery version, designed for environments requiring a warmer atmosphere.

The seat is available in plastic at sight, more practical and resistant, customizable in an upholstered version for greater comfort and elegance.

Moreover, the possibility of integrating arms and writing tablets makes Liberty an ideal seating solution for training and conference rooms, as well as waiting areas.

All the versions comply with the main European certifications required for public contracts, guaranteeing reliability and durability over time. Special attention has also been paid to the chromatic dimension. Tone-on-tone combinations of plastics and frames create a harmonious and contemporary combination; the plastics are available in grey, red, green, blue and black, while frames can be painted to match or chromed for a more luminous result.

Liberty also stands out for Stilla, the plastic auto-levelling articulated glide patented by Ivars, designed to guarantee utmost stability even on irregular surfaces.

Stilla: the glide that adapts to any surface

Designed to fit onto 4 legs metal frames, Stilla foot is designed to guarantee stability and precision even on irregular surfaces or inclined frames. In fact, Stilla features an omnidirectional mechanism with a range up to 15°, which auto-levels the seat and keeps a constant horizontal support. This technical detail translates into greater safety and perceived comfort.

Compact yet highly performing, Stilla improves stability on any surface, reducing noise and protecting surfaces thanks to its interchangeable insert: full plastic, ideal for carpets and rugs, or with felt insert for parquet and stoneware. Available in white and black color in size d.16,18,20 and 22, it adapts to different metal frames and can be easily assembled/disassembled depending on the intended use. Sustainability is an integral part of the project: except for the felt pad, the pin is made of 100% recyclable PP, while the other components are 90% recycled PP, and they are completely recyclable too. A choice that confirms Ivars’ commitment to solutions at low environmental impact, without compromising quality and durability.

Liberty and Stilla are just two examples of Ivars’ evolving nature: products developed thanks to a deep research and development study, where technical innovation, attention to materials and design flexibility conveys in an offer capable of meeting the needs of an increasingly demanding market. All the latest news is always available on ivars.it website, and on the company social media channels, which are constantly updated.
