Launched at Interzum 2025, the new Volver and Liberty Collections by Ivars expand the multifaceted 2026 Ivars Seating range. Functionality, versatility, sustainability and innovation are the keywords of a varied collection, rich in details and versions, to fully satisfy the users’ tastes and needs.
First and foremost, Liberty, the new collection which combines design, comfort, and maximum flexibility in a project in which countless possible configurations and customisations give rise to a chair that adapts to any setting, from offices to community spaces, from healthcare facilities to waiting rooms. No matter where it is, Liberty embodies versatility thanks to all its variants. It has four kind of backrests: full plastic, ideal for medical settings as it is easily sanitizable; perforated plastic, which lightens the structure and adds a dynamic touch to the overall design; mesh, perfect for offices thanks to its breathability, flexibility and suitability for extended use; and, lastly, with a panel to be upholstered, made for those who seek a warmer, completely customizable aesthetic.
The seat can be configured in two ways: by leaving the plastic in sight, for maximum practicality (durable and easily cleaned), or upholstering it, for superior comfort and an added touch of elegance. Liberty can also be equipped with armrests and a small writing tablet, for a configuration which is suitable for educational settings and schools. Even the Liberty frame is designed for freedom of choice, with 4-legs metal frame, 4-legs frame on castors, cantilever frames and bench, swivel and stool options. The 4-leg metal frame version is enriched with an innovative detail: the articulated and self-levelling Stilla foot (patented by IVARS in 2025). Built in recyclable plastic and inclinable up to 15°, it comes in a choice of two bases (with a plastic or felt pad) for maximum stability on any surface. Different plastic colours are available to adapt to places with different purposes, and harmonise with their style. The frames come in painted finishes that are on-tone with the plastic, or in a chrome finish, for general stylistic harmony.
A wide variety of looks and finishes is the defining characteristic of Liberty, but safety guarantees also abound: Liberty is produced in compliance with the European regulations required for use in public contracts and, as such, it is certified as a safe and reliable product. Thanks to the extensive technical and stylistic research involved in its production, Ivars has created a universal chair through the numerous versions of Liberty, which is truly able to satisfy the needs and tastes of a vast market as it delivers style, originality and functionality.
