Energy, INVIMIT-ASSIL agreement for the redevelopment of real estate assets and environmental impact reduction
The agreement signed between Invimit SGR (the company wholly owned by the Ministry of the Economy and Finance that manages the development of public real estate) and the National Association of Lighting Manufacturers (Associazione Nazionale Produttori Illuminazione), which comprises approximately 90 member companies – with a total global turnover of approximately €2.1 billion – and over 6,300 employees, was presented during the latest ASSIL General Assembly.
The two entities intend to collaborate to contribute to the enhancement and regeneration of public real estate assets, promoting the recovery of spaces and the reactivation of underused buildings of Local Public Bodies and other public bodies, through the use of advanced lighting systems and technologies, digitization and integrated management of buildings. To this end, ASSIL intends to support Invimit SGR in identifying and promoting the best technologies for lighting and energy efficiency, ensuring continuous updating of urban redevelopment tools and processes and contributing to the reduction of environmental impact.
At the same time, the collaboration aims to promote the knowledge, by member companies, of the opportunities for partnership, investment and technical collaboration offered by the SGR as part of its activities of management and enhancement of public assets. In this context, ASSIL and Invimit intend to develop a structured collaboration aimed at the dissemination of innovative technological and management solutions, also through training and updating activities for technical and managerial staff, to maximise energy efficiency, also through the activation of processes for the redevelopment of the national public real estate assets, and the return on investment. The agreement establishes the launch of a permanent discussion table, aimed at ensuring a technical-operational exchange between the parties.

This is why we are pleased to have signed an agreement that allows us to take advantage of the collaboration with ASSIL on all the areas of great importance in which lighting is involved in our work: from the safety of buildings (which good lighting can help to guarantee), to their energy efficiency, from the integration of smart lighting with other management and control systems, the social enhancement of underused urban areas, involving ASSIL as far as its competence is concerned, in agreements signed by the SGR with other parties for these purposes.
