From the Rimani Award, celebrating three museum excellences, to the FiBra2025 project exposed at Palazzo Castiglioni at the Confcommercio Milan – Lodi – Monza e Brianza seat
In collaboration with the MuseoCity ETS Association, dedicated to the enhancement of the city's museum heritage, in conjunction with the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, this year, the tenth edition of Milano Museo City, the event promoted by the Municipality of Milan, celebrated the courage and determination that bond art and sport.
Rimani, a Piedmont-based company skilled in design and production of innovative lighting solutions, was for the second consecutive year the technical partner on the occasion of the “Museo Segreto” section, from February 27 to March 5, and from this year,2026, it has promoted the Rimani Award, aimed at selecting and awarding three exhibition projects with a specifically designed lighting system to enhance some of the works participating in Museo Segreto.
The 2026 winners are: Assimpredil ANCE, with Arnaldo Pomodoro's “Grande bassorilievo”; the Collezione Pomologica Francesco Garnier Valletti of the Università degli Studi di Milano, consisting of 1,674 specimens of artificial fruits from 1872; and MusAB – Museo Astronomico di Brera, with “Modello ligneo della specola di Boscovich in Palazzo Brera” (1764-65) and Telescope of the Osservatorio Astronomico di Brera.
Rimani installed the Solar product in four different variants at the headquarters of the Assimpredil ANCE association to enlighten Arnaldo Pomodoro's “Grande bassorilievo”, at the MusAb with the “Modello ligneo della specola di Boscovich in Palazzo Brera” (1764-65), and for the Telescope of the Osservatorio Astronomico di Brera in Milan. Solar is a single-source LED spotlight with natural light that covers the entire visible spectrum. It is a best-in-class element featured by accurate colour rendering with exceptional white vibrancy, high intensity, extraordinary uniformity and effectiveness of the beams. The LED sources with three-phosphor technology and violet emission produce a continuous spectrum, complete in the red and cyan frequencies, perfect for all colours: a natural-looking light, essential for the true colours rendering of an artwork. In detail, at Assimpredil ANCE Solar 100 has been positioned on a base with magnetic elliptical lenses and an anti-glare louver. At Musab, the Solar 60 model with adapter, complete with magnetic lenses and anti-glare louver, as well as the Solar compact 60 equipped with an autonomous power supply system, magnetic lenses and anti-glare louver. For the Telescope, Solar with the autonomous battery kit. At the Università degli Studi di Milano, to illuminate the Collezione Pomologica Francesco Garnier Valletti of the Agricultural and Environmental Sciences Department, Rimani installed a custom-made linear longitudinal solar light module to enhance and highlight the colours and ensure uniform and faithful illumination. The light allows the nuances, material details, and colour variety of the artificial fruits to be fully appreciated.
