Sottovoce transforms light into an architectural presence

3 June 2025

Il Bronzetto presents this collection designed to create a refined atmosphere where light harmoniously fluctuates between brightness and darkness

A symphony of light and shadow, a bold tribute to the elegance and mystery of Parisian nights, the Sottovoce vertical composition chandelier by Il Bronzetto transforms light into an architectural presence. Inspired by 18th- and 19th-century Bouillotte lamps once used to illuminate aristocratic salons, this sculptural piece revisits history through a contemporary lens. Its cascading brass arms and delicately diffused light from black metal shades, outlined in a thin red accent, create an atmosphere of whispered intimacy. Perfect for spaces with high ceilings, it evokes a sense of theatrical rhythm and timeless grace. The brushed brass reflects light with warmth, while the dark lampshades filter it into a soft, poetic glow – never invasive, always enveloping.

A whisper of geometry, a touch of romance, the horizontal version of the Sottovoce chandelier invites us to reimagine space with a quiet yet magnetic presence. Its linear brass structure, composed with balance and restraint, supports a series of black lampshades whose crimson edges glow like embers in the dark. Each element speaks softly, like a secret shared under dim lighting. Sottovoce is a collection designed to accompany, not dominate – to create a refined atmosphere where light flows harmoniously, dancing between brightness and shadow. Perfect for dining rooms or salons where minimalism meets mystery.

The Sottovoce table lamp channels the charm of 19th-century French design into a small, sculptural form. Its slender tripod legs in burnished brass and gently angled black shade create a character full of grace. The red-rimmed edge is a bold whisper, just enough to catch the eye. This lamp is made for corners of calm—bedside tables, desks, reading nooks – where light becomes a personal experience, wrapping the space in a subtle, golden atmosphere.

Tall, refined, and slightly off-centre, the Sottovoce floor lamp is a minimal gesture with maximum impact. Inspired by the quiet glow of Parisian salons, this lamp carries the poetic DNA of the entire collection: a beam of light that doesn’t shout, but guides – gently and elegantly. The burnished brass frame rises effortlessly, holding a large black shade edged in red. When lit, it casts a soft, ambient light that creates islands of intimacy within a room. Ideal for living areas, lounges, or quiet spaces in need of warmth and character.
