Albacomponents, blending continuity and new design ideas at Interzum 2023

4 May 2023

AlbaComponents returns to Interzum, with a philosophy of style, quality and technical functionality perfectly aligned with the company’s time-honoured traditions, whilst also debuting innovative elements of great interest

After 4 years of inevitable suspension, AlbaComponents welcomes the return of the German fair, the premier trade fair for suppliers to the furniture and interior design industry at an international level which has always been a communications hub par excellence for the birth of new design trends and living and workspaces furniture, to showcase “its world”, comprising heritage and innovation, design and practicality.

The company debuts a whole array of new products to the public from 9 to 12 May at the Koeln Messe Zentrum, ranging from “premieres” to current collections that they have thus far been unable to present in person to potential and current customers. The new product offering span all market sectors in which the Veneto-based business operates: from furniture for the Office, to Ho.Re.Ca and the home, right through to Outdoor living.

Nothing is missing from the AlbaComponents product range, and the firm is present with a generously sized stand with a large exhibition area and a dedicated section for holding meetings and conversations with customers in person. The opportunity for networking and connecting is a key element of the fair: over the last few years, we had to rely heavily on video calls and virtual relationships, but there’s no replacement for face-to-face meetings and physically interacting with chairs and furniture elements. This represents a welcome return to the values of concreteness, pragmatism and substance. The importance of trade fairs has been brought into focus precisely through their absence, and AlbaComponents intends to seize the opportunity Interzum offers to enjoy the direct and personal interactions with its customers, and to effectively present its collections.

So face-to-face meetings at the fair become crucial and central, both for showcasing products and making them “come to life”, and for understanding emerging inputs and ideas within market – perceptions which the company’s R&D department will use to design new furniture solutions. Over the past 4 years, the AlbaComponents technical team has been working tirelessly and carefully to follow trends and produce items to meet market demands. This approach that has inevitably also seen the Veneto-based firm partnering with designers: Pio and Tito Toso, Emanuele Bertolini, and Stefano Bettio are just some of the names that have contributed to creating the new models to be exhibited in Cologne. Models featuring innovative and contemporary designs, all conceived and developed with a firm focus on sustainability.

In this regard, over the years, the company has moved on multiple fronts to come up with answers to issues surrounding sustainability: from the adoption of production processes that meet the ISO14001 standard, to their commitment to recycling iron, to the use of recycled and recyclable materials, as well as supply own electricity by means of a photovoltaic plant producing more than 120,000 kw a year. In addition to sustainability investments, over the last year the company has also focused on another major key aspect of service quality: logistics. The entry into full operation of the all-new automated warehouse has enabled the firm to reduce goods processing times, thus optimizing materials storage and leading to an overall improvement of operations and deliveries.

So Interzum represents a major milestone for AlbaComponents: after 4 years of research and hard work, the company will proudly present its “vision” for the future of furniture design, grounded in the strong and sound values that have been its defining features for more than 40 years now.

The appointment is at the Cologne Trade Fair, Hall 4-2 | Stand C049
