15 November 2020

The real estate development in the heart of Milano: 45 million euros invested in 24 floors, over 80 meters, 105 apartments of different sizes. For the first time, each apartment will be equipped with Alexa – Amazon’s voice interaction service allowing to voice-control the rooms in the house (temperature, lighting, etc.) – integrated with the BTicinoMyHOME_Up platform.

Torre Milano is the new residential development by OPM (Impresa Rusconi and Storm.it) signed by Studio Beretta Associati. The works involving a commercial area of approximately 10,500 smstarted in spring 2019 and are expected to be completed between the first and the second semesterof 2022. Torre Milano is in line with the vertical development of the city: 80 meters high, 23 floors above ground and a 24th technical floor with a viewpoint over the city. Two other buildings are foreseen, two and three floors each, separated and independent from the main building. In the whole there will be 105 apartments of different sizes, ranging from two to fiverooms (on two levels, too). In the basement, there will be 150 private garages.

Smart living is the distinctive feature of the project. A new concept of living obtained by the cooperation between Amazon and Impresa Rusconi, the first European construction company with whom the American company signed a partnership.

“In 2018, the smart home market reached in Italy the value of 380 million Euro. A growing number thanks to the success of smart speakers.” says Franco Villani, CEO atBTicino. “The integration of applications and services to offer feature-rich scenarios is the winning factor that will determine the success and development of smart homes as a factual system. The collaboration between Impresa Rusconi, Amazon and BTicino goes right in that direction, with a tangible benefit for all who choose this new stylefor living their home.”

The project will be in a strategic position, in connection with the most relevant hubs of Milano urban context, close to the underground stations. Energy Class A, Torre Milano will be equipped with photovoltaic panels, irrigation water recovery and controlled mechanical ventilation in each apartment.
