Techno expands the range of proposals for electrical connection with new solutions
Junction boxes and accessories, compatible with the Zhaga standard, with a specific focus on the Book 18 variant. Made with cutting-edge, halogen-free materials, the products offer several IP protection degrees for connection reliability, integration options for various applications, and ease of installation.
The THA. 209.Z0AU, 4-way D7-13.5 with cover for Zhaga Book 18, part of the TEEBOX range, to make fixed and re-inspectable connections, for branches without a terminal block, in difficult environmental conditions. It offers 5 electrical connection points and accepts cable diameters from 7 mm to 13.50 mm, for a 30 mm length. The external dimensions are 121.0 x 64.5 x 40.0 mm, while the available space inside is 40.0 x 53.5 x 26.0 mm. The THA. 209.Z0AU, made with Additive – 3D printing technology, can also be supplied in quantities limited to a few units.
The materials of each component have been selected to be suitable for the most severe operating conditions. The box body is made of PA66 UL94 V2, and the cover for Zhaga Book 18 of photopolymer resin, silicone gaskets and cable-sealing rubbers of TPE. The contacts are also made of brass, while the contact and cover screws are made of steel. The box offers IP66 protection against water and dust, while corrosion resistance is certified by the Salt Mist test according to EN60068-2-11:2000. The operating temperature ranges from -40°C to +60°C, complying with EN61984 and EN60998 standards. The THA. 209.Z0AU is available in black for plastic components and in Techno green for rubber components.
An advanced solution for electrical connections in commercial and industrial applications is the M16-M20 7-way mini-junction box, identified by the code KITH.212.Z0AU. Designed for fixed and re-inspectable connection for junctions with terminal blocks, it is equipped with a Zhaga Book 18 module on the cover. It can be installed in systems with an operating temperature between -20°C and + 60°C, thus able to cover most plant requirements. The box has 6 connection points and 4 poles, with application for signal circuits. The rated current is 1.5A, and the rated voltage is 30V DC. Supports cable cross-sections between 0.5 mm² and 1 mm² without a lug.
Made of black plastic for the main components and white rubber for the sealing components, it stands out for its compactness: the external dimensions are 72 x 75 x 95.5 mm. The mechanical protection of grade IK08 guarantees high impact resistance. The box body is made of PC/ABS UL94V0, the lid of photopolymer resin, and the gaskets of silicone. The KITH.212.Z0AU 7-way mini junction box is part of the TEEBOX range and the IoTH platform, which identifies Techno solutions for connection through the integration of electronic components.
Another solution for the commercial and industrial sector is the new 4-pole plug-socket connector compliant with the Zhaga Book 18 standard, specifically designed for electrical connections in sensor applications. The connector code 6DB076300 is suitable for installation on panels up to 3 mm thick; the fixing nut is included in the packaging. It is compatible with Ø0.5mm H05V2 type cables, with a diameter between 0.5 mm and 1 mm.
It offers a connection point for power and signal circuits, with a nominal voltage of 30V DC. It can be used in environments with temperatures ranging from -30°C to +110°C. The connector body is made of plastic, the gaskets of black rubber. It has a diameter of 30 mm x 27 mm, and the thread is M20. It offers IP20 and IP66 protection ratings: the latter is guaranteed by using the cap (not included in the kit) placed over the Zhaga Book 18 connector. Shock resistance is IK08.
Finally, for the TH212 junction box, the blanking cap designed to fit perfectly into the Zhaga Book 18 holes is available: a reliable and durable solution to close and protect unused holes. In photopolymer resin, with silicone gaskets, in black, it has external dimensions of Ø26.6 x 18.0 mm. It guarantees resistance to temperatures up to +63°C and offers excellent resistance against dust and water, thanks to IP65, IP66, IP67 and IP68 ratings.
