Compliant to the European Standards concerning eco-friendly lighting

 

The approval of new regulations for eco-friendly lighting products and energy labelling has resulted in a new set of mandatory design requirements for LED luminaires that will officially come into force from September 2021. Thanks to a close cooperation with Colors LED, Digimax offers a range of environmentally friendly LED strips that meet the EcoDesign standard.

 

How to recognize an eco-friendly LED strip compliant with the new European standards?

The new series of environmentally friendly LED strips by Digimax meet the features required by the regulations and will have a specific energy label. The current classification ranges from A++ (most efficient value) to E (least efficient value) while new parameters will range from A (most efficient value) to G (least efficient value); the new labels will provide information on energy consumption – expressed in kWh per 1,000 hours – and will show a QR code for more information. The EcoDesign guidelines will make it easier to implement these regulations within the clients’ reality. LED strips compliant with European lighting standards

Digimax proposal focuses on high efficiency LED strips, therefore complies with the European ErP EcoDesign regulation. The D8180 series meets the demands of the legislator, ensuring environmentally friendly LED lighting strips. Below the main features:

The EcoDesign legislation will be mandatory for all light sources sold in the EU and will set energy efficiency requirements and other factors, such as bulb life and warm-up time. The new criteria foreseen by the EcoDesign law will come into effect starting from September 2021, so please get in contact with Digimax for any specific advice. The first cuttable and customizable silicon LED strip

The new version of the 360° round LED neon strip offers those features making it desirable by lighting designers and installers: the length can be simply and functionally adjusted, keeping all the initial technical features. Indeed, thanks to the exclusive extrusion process, it is possible to cut the LED strip following each application requirement.

 

What are the technical characteristics of the round LED strip?

Using NNR25 imagination becomes reality and the lighting applications almost have no-limits.

  • Light source: high luminous efficiency, LM80 test proved.
  • Process and material: high light transmittance, food-grade environmental silicone material, integrated extrusion moulding technology and high protection level.
  • Optical design: unique optical light distribution structure design, uniform lighting surface and no shadow.
