The Hôtel de la Marine in Paris, opened its doors to the public with an innovative scenography

The Hôtel de la Marine, emblematic building where some of the key events of French history took place, former headquarters of the Navy administration, opened its doors to the public, with an innovative scenography. The palace, which overlooks the central Place de la Concorde in Paris, has been the subject of a deep renovation lasting five years. A visionary light covering has given a new face to the “Cour d’Honneur”, thanks to the ambitious project of Moatti-Rivière agency, in collaboration with Agence 8’18”.

The lighting concept has been designed to enhance the high historical and cultural importance of the context and to welcome and excite visitors. 6.080 recessed fixtures have been installed in a pavement of black granite cobblestones. The products, made ad hoc by DGA, are embellished with small crystals to sublimate the beam of light, giving rise to evocative scenic effects.
