Exedra by Salice is a pocket door system with assisted sliding action that is enhanced by a linear damping system to gently control the movement of the door as it slides in and out of the pocket

 

An innovative evolution of pocket door systems, Exedra by Salice refines and improves the deceleration concept to give a smooth, fluent, uniform and noiseless movement, regardless of the speed of door insertion. Exedra is also equipped with a Smove damper, which is fixed on the profile and confers a perfect decelerating effect on the door during the closing movement. Exedra enables a significant functional optimisation of space and can be used in a host of application – from larder units for kitchens, to hide away appliances like washing machines, freezers or even sinks; in living rooms for media or library units; in bedroom wardrobes and in office storage applications.

Exedra2 Star and Exedra2 Smart are evolutions of the Exedra system, which, thanks to an innovatively-engineered mechanism, enable the simultaneous movement of two linked doors. It is a patented mechanism with assisted door extraction and door insertion, operated by a magnetically-assisted motion-control system that confers a smooth and perfectly balanced movement. Design options: the STAR version, where the mechanism remains concealed behind the cover panel, and the SMART version, which reveals the door edges when folded in the pocket. With three opening mechanisms-traditional, handle-less Push, or fully motorized-Exedra2 provides an ideal solution for any design requirement. Exedra2 can accommodate a wide range of doors, with height from 1800 mm to 2700 mm, width from 350 mm to 757 mm (STAR version) and from 525 mm to 860 mm (SMART version). Eliminating the need for cables, tie rods, or springs, the Exedra2 technology uses the force of gravity, along with the magnetic dampers that control the doors, offering a fluid, silent and long-lasting movement, tested up to 50,000 cycles.

The system is compatible with Exedra Gravity and can be developed directly with the online configurator. This pocket door system elevates both versatility and design, featuring a distinctly modern and clean look.

Exedra Gravity suits all types of furniture and can be applied to a wide range of dimensions:

Doors height from 1100 mm to 3000 mm.

Doors width from 300 mm to 900 mm.

Doors thickness from 14 mm to 30 mm.

Door weight up to 40 kg.

Modular with the Exedra2 system.

 

Two options available:

OUT – Doors open independently from within the cabinet with assisted motion, activated by a light touch.

IN – The doors retract with a smooth, perfectly balanced motion in response to a gentle push. Exedra Gravity can be supplied with hinges and Smove, for a decelerated closing, or Push to open hinges for handle-less doors.

Both versions are available in nickel-plated or titanium finishes.

The door fully retracts into the compartment when open, ensuring practicality and discreetness. Each movement is assisted, resulting in a precise and harmonious sliding action. The concealed sliding mechanism, contained within a 55mm housing, allows for easy adjustment and access without disassembling the cabinet. It attaches directly to the cabinet side in just a few simple steps.
