LEDiL’s new single optic for sports lighting applications, combining power, precision, design freedom and ease of assembly

A single optic for countless possibilities

SPORT-SQ-SC2 is one of the latest innovations released by LEDiL and introduced by Universal Science on the Italian market. It is a unique product of its kind, i.e. a compact, powerful, easy-to-mount, precise optic, flexible enough to create luminaires of any shape and size.

SQ-SC2 is a single asymmetrical 30x30mm lens (maximum height 20mm), designed for automated assembly thanks to the dedicated SOLDER-CLIP-2 clips. It is compatible with LED packages up to 7070, ensuring high performance, and is designed for players and spectators’ optimal lighting conditions in accordance with the standards and requirements of different sports.

LED Modules for SPORT-SQ-SC2

Universal Science has designed and built a test board with 7070 LEDs (see picture), for a first approach to the new SPORT-SQ-SC2 from LEDiL, and to evaluate their potential.

Generally, LED modules using SPORT-SQ-SC2 must be designed with dedicated PCBs featuring a soldering area for the fixing clips and a hole for centring the lens. The lens fixing clips have a dedicated part number and are supplied with the lenses.
